As the title describes, NASA for God knows what reason picked you to have a song of your choice put on this possibly ET life finding piece.
I know what I would put on this

Arrvin Aye - What's Going On.
White Christmas by Bing Crosby, a.k.a the best-selling single of all time ever.
'Comfortably Numb' made by Pink Floyd.
Its pretty much what I think a perfect song is.

I Shot the Sheriff by We Butter the Bread with Butter

Either Morning light by The Dirty Heads or anything from Dr. Steel.

I would pick something simple that demonstrated our music at a very fundamental level.
Honestly, probably a recording of a few major/minor scales, the chromatic scale, a few chords and a few simple melodies.
the robots - kraftwerk
just so they think we are robots and they won't fuck with us

a.k.a indie pop
Proxyon - Mission Alpha. Because it sounds so space! It should be our Solar System's offical anthem.

Send this on there. VERY awesome glitch music by Ryoji Ikeda.
It may be the only music the aliens can understand as it hits very clean on the lows and the brink of human hearing capabilities.

Various spectragram images of famous musicians.
Something art music or jazz.
