Alright, so I've been looking to buy a new computer for ages. But, I don't know nearly enough about graphics cards and whatnot to do it on my own.
The build is going to be pretty much from scratch. Things I already have: keyboard, mouse and an old tower and speakers I could use, but I might need to replace them. I intend to use it for gaming (obviously). I want it to be able to run most modern games, at a decent frame rate, if possible. I bought 'From dust' a while back on steam but my computer couldn't handle it (Graphics card to be specific). So that's the kind thing I would like to run. As for accessories, all I really need is a monitor unless you guys want to recommend anything. As I said in the title my budget is $1500AUD (I live in Australia) but I can go a few hundred above if it's worth it.
thanks for your time.
I went ahead and chose my parts

Is this a good selection? Anything I should change?
Also I apologize for the double post
Looks fine to me, though I'd probably go for a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo for the cooler and probably consider a 7000 series graphics card.
Thanks for the advice. I changed the cooler and with the card I was thinking one of these

I take it the Asus is better based on the price?
They are probably using different coolers, but I'm not sure I'd pay an extra 60 dollars for a better cooler.
Ok, here's the build with the new changes

I'd have a look at getting the ST1000DM03 Seagate Barracuda over your current drive, but it shouldn't make too much of a difference.
