On a 32bit laptop, will 4GBs of ram benefit for games rather than 2GBs?

The laptop we have is a Toshiba Satellite L455D.
It's processor is an
AMD Sempron SI-42, 2100 MHz, 1 core, 1 logical processor.
It has 2GBs of RAM installed that it came with.
Now, I know that this laptop is NOT meant for heavier games, but I was able to get it working with Splinter Cell Conviction with all the graphic settings as low as they can go.
My computer is a very powerful gaming desktop that can run all games at highest settings (even Crysis and GTA IV).
What I want to know is, if I install 2 more GBs of RAM into the laptop, can it play Splinter Cell Conviction better with less lag?
My brother and I want to play it on our LAN together, but it's so laggy.
Any help will be appreciated (:

Witch a 1 core processor and no graphics card i don't think you can play games like that :v:.
Invest in another good laptop, 2gb more ram will not help the lag. Your bottle neck is your CPU and the fact that you don't have a graphics card. I'm kinda curious what the laptops temps are while running that game, even on lowest settings.
Will adding two gigs of ram make up for my 1 core processor and no GPU?
No
4GB over 2GB RAM is an improvement even on 32-bit systems.
But it's not going to matter in the slightest for playing games on that thing. You're unlikely to see any performance improvements. Save yourself the money.
go for 8 gb and a 64 bit system with a GPU

In all seriousness if that's all you can afford, try it. Install HWINFO and post your memory info and i'll recommend the correct memory to shop for.
