• Internet randomly cutting off

Hello, about 2 weeks ago we moved my parent's PC from downstairs, to upstairs into our spare bedroom, no we have had to use an extension for the phone line so we can have the router in the spare bedroom, ever since I have been having random Internet cut outs, my mum got in touch with the ISP and they was saying that something is telling our router to time out or something shit like that, they was really no help whatsoever. So I waited 2 weeks to see if it would eventually go, and tonight it has been really bad I can hardly play any online games without it being interrupted. I have turned off my home server to make sure that wasn't the cause of it, but nope it still did it, do any of you have any suggestions on why this might be doing it.
is it just random or when searching for servers in certain games?
Random
You must construct additional pylons [editline]12:02PM[/editline] On a more serious note, have you been able to try any other computers? If it's just the one, then it's could be a fault in your network settings If it's all of them, then maybe a fault in the router settings
In all probability it's because you're using the phone line extension, can you use it downstairs instead and use an ethernet cable to hook up your computers? Cat 5e or Cat 6 is made to far higher tolerances than crappy phone extension cables.
THanks Chris and Liquid, I will argue with my mum to move it.
