I struggled on what to rate this. As much as I hated Absolution; scrapping the project in favor of a mobile game is even worse.
who actually thought this was a good idea.
No wonder Square Enix is losing money.
lol what a bunch of fucking retards.
First the deus ex mobile abomination and now this? Does someone still think that the real market is in phone gaming? Please, stop making games all together if that's your line.
I really don't understand the hate towards Absolution. It's not a hateful game at all. No Blood Money, but it was pretty solid overall.
I really don't understand the hate towards Absolution. It's not a hateful game at all. No Blood Money, but it was pretty solid overall.
Sneaking and undercover work was pretty much impossible, but other than that, pretty solid.
I really don't understand the hate towards Absolution. It's not a hateful game at all. No Blood Money, but it was pretty solid overall.
It was watered down so much it could've been sold as homeopathic medicine

If they had given it more time, a much larger budget, and a console and PC release, it could have easily surpassed Human Revolution. But instead, they decided to focus on a cheaper mobile game that was almost instantly forgotten.
I really don't understand the hate towards Absolution. It's not a hateful game at all. No Blood Money, but it was pretty solid overall.
The problem is that it isn't Blood Money
squeenix makes some of the worst business decisions in the industry, i swear to god.
this is why I have low hopes for a proper Deus Ex sequel. It'll end up being bastardized one way or another.
So when they got burned by bad sales because of a mediocre pc & console game, they decide to make mediocre mobile games instead? Shit, didn't the thought of that they should make the games better instead strike them, or are the executives too dense for that?
this is why I have low hopes for a proper Deus Ex sequel. It'll end up being bastardized one way or another.
There's little room for the Deus Ex team to fuck up. They know what went wrong with DXHR and I'm pretty sure that they what to do with the next Deus Ex game. They know that they have to make the boss fights better and it's evident that they do since the Missing Link did things nicely. They've also hinted at melee weapons in the occasional interview. As long as they listen to the community like they do, nothing can go horribly wrong. [editline]7th January 2014[/editline] Even if they added multiplayer to Deus Ex, it'd be perfectly fine so long as they added an SDK and let players make maps and stuff.

And I'm not just saying that just because of the device I'm posting from. [editline]7th January 2014[/editline]
This is going to cost 15 dollars on Google Play ahahaha
Yuck. Thank god this is not representative of decent mobile games. $15 is pushing it when AAA titles such as Grand Theft Auto and Need for Speed sell for $7.50 tops.

Square Enix just have a fucking retarded idea that all their games have to sell 5 million+ copies to be a success. Tomb Raider sold over 1 million copies in 2 days and sold over 3.4 million copies so far and they called it a failure. Fucking morons.
No wonder Square Enix is losing money.
they moved their HQ because of a fortune teller. square enix is designed to be dumb
Fucking mobile, goddamn who cares
Fucking mobile, goddamn who cares
Fucking PC, goddamn who cares

[editline]6th January 2014[/editline] To Capcom PSN Top 10 means people don't care for Darkstalkers. [editline]6th January 2014[/editline] Also Squenix why not have both? Since only like me and 3 other people care about AAA mobile games you could of handed it to another dev.
God I really hope mobile gaming doesn't take over. You can get all sorts of cool shit on mobiles. An updated GTA: SA, exclusive content for multi-platform games, and Square Enix dumping the console and PC in favor of mobile games are just a few examples. I hope this doesn't lead to other developers following suit.
"Shit, our new mobile game strategy isn't working and we're losing money! What do we do?!" "Well, clearly, we're not doing it hard enough. MAKE MORE MOBILE GAMES!" These guys are so pants-on-head retarded that I wouldn't feel bad if they didn't own the rights to Deus Ex and Hitman.

Business kills video games.
Square Enix will hear what the fans want and then proceed to do the exact opposite. It's like they hate money.
So what are they gonna do when their mobile games flop? Make board games? SE needs to get their head out of their ass. The only games people play on phones are the casual ones. (I'm well aware that games like GTA: SA sells like hotcakes, but who plays through a game like that in one single sitting? Casual games are popular because all you need to do is pick up the phone and press play without having to worry about missions taking too long or cutscenes that you don't have time to watch)

Well done. And if people didn't have the time to play games like GTA SA why would they buy them??? Not to mention games have these things called checkpoints and auto saving, and GTA games on mobile are no exception.
