Trump's Chief Strategist, Steve Bannon: "Darkness is good"
The ex-Breitbart executive, who serves as Trump's chief strategist for the new administration, told The Hollywood Reporter that "darkness is good."
"Dick Cheney. Darth Vader. Satan. That's power. It only helps us when they (liberals) get it wrong. When they're blind to who we are and what we're doing," he said in an interview published Friday, his first outside of Breitbart since the election.
Briebart News, which Bannon has been associated with since its start in 2007, has been vehemently pro-Trump throughout his presidential campaign, and is also known for pushing nationalist policy positions, as well as conspiracy theories, and has been criticized as being racist, sexist and anti-Semitic.
...
"I'm a nationalist. I'm an economic nationalist," he said in the interview. "The globalists gutted the American working class and created a middle class in Asia. The issue now is about Americans looking to not get f---ed over. If (the Trump White House delivers), we'll get 60 percent of the white vote, and 40 percent of the black and Hispanic vote and we'll govern for 50 years. That's what the Democrats missed. They were talking to these people with companies with a $9 billion market cap employing nine people. It's not reality. They lost sight of what the world is about."
...
"Like (Andrew) Jackson's populism, we're going to build an entirely new political movement," he said. "It's everything related to jobs. The conservatives are going to go crazy. I'm the guy pushing a trillion-dollar infrastructure plan. With negative interest rates throughout the world, it's the greatest opportunity to rebuild everything. Shipyards, iron works, get them all jacked up. We're just going to throw it up against the wall and see if it sticks. It will be as exciting as the 1930s, greater than the Reagan revolution -- conservatives, plus populists, in an economic nationalist movement."

what the fuck are you even saying
As someone actually told me, Bannon is an extreme provacateur, he says stuff like "Darkness is good" to piss off enemies, This is still not something a person anywhere near the white house should be.

I can understand the other ones, but you really have to dig deep to call it anti-Semitic, especially considering how its founder and several executives are Jewish.
what the fuck are you even saying
do not underestimate the power of the dark side
Steve Bannon is still a piece of shit though, no doubt about that.

Please don't.

Okay, this is practically just a step away from an evil overlord gloating about his diabolical plans at this point.
In the next fifteen years these people are going to outright call themselves supervillains and it'll still be seen by certain idiots as a good thing.
It sounds a little national-socialist rather than economic-nationalist, with a side-order of massive potential to further destabilize the US economy and plunge it into Zimbabwean levels of inflation.

Its now official, trolling is a legit political stance.

Each day we step closer to a political reality akin to Fahrenheit 451. Actually, this one is practically more retarded.
He gets it; he gets it intuitively," Bannon said about Trump. "You have probably the greatest orator since William Jennings Bryan.
Are you serious. Even in his pre-written speeches, the guy can barley string together one fucking sentence without repeating himself and your comparing him to this?
The humblest citizen in all the land when clad in the armor of a righteous cause is stronger than all the whole hosts of error that they can bring.
WRONG!

Its to me everything serious being turned into a comedy act as a legit means to win blows my mind.
You gotta give the man credit for at least pushing for what he thinks will make the world better. He is clearly of the mindset where if we build up infrastructure and jobs, the rest will fall in to line. I'm not saying he's right, or that he isn't morally questionable, but the man has chance to do what he sees as 'good' and he is taking it.

Except most of them left years ago and aren't exactly fans of Bannon.
Brietbart called Bannon "The Leni Riefenstahl of the Tea Party movement". Not glowing praise.

The man is an actual white supremacist.

It's less about if they people running the site hate Jews and more about how supporters act after reading the stuff. Based on what I've seen, there is plenty of antisemitism
Please don't.
I'm instantly skeptical of any sentence that begins with "Like Andrew Jackson's-"
"Like (Andrew) Jackson's populism, we're going to build an entirely new political movement," he said.
Er, weren't Jackson's followers commonly considered a blight upon the country for their awful policies which did more harm than good?
Andrew Jackson populism
Andrew Jackson basically created the spoils system of rewarding government posts to people who supported him and ruined the US economy.
I'm very pessimistic for our future if they are comparing themselves to that and Brexit :v:
This administration is going to be a fucking disaster.
This guy sounds like a bad action movie villain.
I would buy a wall poster of the above image in complete form (each of them needs a nickname)
on topic: the president-elect and staff is racist; at the very least anti-Semitic
I got bored and made a guide to Trump's cabinet if any of you guys have forgotten some of the people he has picked or is considering.
Obviously there are many more slots left and this will become quickly outdated but here it is as of tonight:
