• Even more DLL problems. Entry Point Not Found (API-MS-Win-Core-Profile-L1-1-0.dll)

So, it all goes back quite a few months ago when I started getting errors containing 0xc000007b. I could not shake these errors, no matter how many virus scans I did, no matter how many times I reinstalled Microsoft Visual C++, or anything of the sort. So, recently I did a reinstall of Windows (Ulltimate 64 bit) and, after deleting the OLD Windows folder, I am now getting this error. I'm not sure if this is the reason I'm getting the error, but I would think it isn't as it is, after all, the old Windows folder. Anyways, if anyone could help me out it would be wonderful. The only program I can seem to run is IE. The exact error is "The procedure entry point queryPerformanceCounter could not be located in the dynamic link library API-MS-Win-Core-Profile-L1-1-0.dll." Thanks in advance.
Did you miss a capital Q in the error message? Otherwise this doesnt make sense, at all
[QUOTE=Tobba;28398352]Did you miss a capital Q in the error message? Otherwise this doesnt make sense, at all[/QUOTE] I did not. Virus maybe?
Not sure, but the correct name is QueryPerformanceCounter not queryPerformanceCounter Badly written virus?
[QUOTE=Tobba;28398369]Not sure, but the correct name is QueryPerformanceCounter not queryPerformanceCounter Badly written virus?[/QUOTE] Possibly. Booting in safe mode and I'm gunna run some tests. Sadly I'm limited by my small selection of software. Fucking semi-clean installs. [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline] I just wanted a repair install, but no. It wouldn't let me.
I'm gonna take that as you cant run malware bytes? [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline] Or maybe you can run HijackThis?
-snip- It's in safe mode. After I scan with Malwarebytes I'll do one out of safe mode. [editline]3rd March 2011[/editline] From what I've heard it's caused by programs overwriting certain parts of .NET Framwork, which would make sense as APB Reloaded (Which is the game I ran right before the problems started happening) uses .NET Framework, and installed it before I re-installed, but since I've re-installed, it was deleted. Or maybe it only makes sense in my mind. Who knows. To recap, running the game APB Reloaded caused this, but I can run things fine in safe mode, but not normal. Six restarts and everything's good.
