Google, Renesys, and others point to an internet blackout in Syria, the latest blow in an ongoing conflict. Analytics group Renesys confirmed about an hour ago that internet had apparently gone dark, something that was echoed in Google's real-time transparency report. Umbrella Security Labs has also corroborated this.
Damn, no more sweet life tank combat videos.
(Yes, it's terrible that there are millions of people threatened by death, but I can't do anything about that, can I? All I can do is focus on the very little positive that comes out of it, for me.)

That is atrocious.

I hate to be the USS Fun Police with it's attached air group, but seriously why not look up some simulations or something. Watching it for war-porn is pretty weird.

Yeah I just love seeing people die in conflict. Why don't we open up more bloodsport arenas?

Syria's gone down the shitter whether some random guy on the internet enjoys combat videos or not.

Goodnight, Sweet Princes of Arabia.

There are nigh never visible people dying. Tank combat happens at long ranges. You see only metal, and explosions.
Give me a sport where tanks get remotely controlled and shoot other unmanned tanks, and I will be happy.

The fact there's war is sickening me, and I feel conflicted whenever watching any of the videos, but there's no reason to hold your hand over your eyes and pretend like there's nothing going on.
What I like to watch is the technology and weaponry. I don't see what problem do you have with that. Yes, people are dying, but I can't do anything about that, and trust me that it's not what I seek in the footage.
The only good thing about all the footage that has come from the Syrian civil war is the trebuchets
