okay...so I just received my upgrade of windows 7 for my Vista and I was wondering if I'd need to make a backup of my computer before installing it ?
Unless you want to keep stuff....
When you go to install boot onto the disk, go into custom install, and DO NOT FORMAT but select your disk and hit next. When you boot into Windows 7 all your old stuff will be in windows.old. You will have to reinstall your programs but it is better in the long run than upgrading.
Alright Thanks guys

If you are talking about the not having to backup and doing what I said then you still can (on a clean install).
You should be keeping regular backups anyway.
