• Google Chrome suddenly slow as fuck?

So starting yesterday, my computer (windows 10 desktop) suddenly started fucking up with Google chrome. When I launch it, task manager says it used like 50% of the cpu and google chrome does one of the following: 1. Takes forever to load the actual browser 2. Takes forever to load the google page (the one with my commonly visited pages) 3. Works fine, then after a few minutes will begin to slow down. It can't even load the settings pages. I can play all my games fine and Microsoft edge loads fine so I know it's not the actual computer or my internet.
What release channel are you using, I've noticed its a problem with dev and beta. Something to do with JS handling causing it, very JS heavy pages when open for a while slow it down to a crawl after prolonged exposure.

I just downloaded forever ago from the website. [editline]16th August 2016[/editline] Now Microsoft edge is seriously slowing down. Maybe it is my cpu/memory? Where should I go about testing everything? [editline]16th August 2016[/editline] Uninstalled and installed a fresh copy of Chrome. No fix. Microsoft Edge isn't slowing as much as I thought it would, but every so often will choke up. (had task manager open to show cpu and memory percentages, no real reason just in case though :)
Rename your chrome folder in appdata, then give it a try. ..\AppData\Local\Google\.. (It will make a new one, just rename *the current one to chrome.bak or somthin.)
clean your cookies
Are you running Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit or a similar type of exploit mitigation software? I had an issue where Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit would slow all of my browsers launch speeds. That being said, look for any browser hijacking / redirection things with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.
