This game any good? Is it too much of a hardcore simulation?

It is incredibly difficult, the flying and starting of the A-10 isn't that hard except actually using weaponry requires you to set up everything with the HUD and numpad in the cockpit.
The ingame tutorials help a lot though.

Being such a hardcore simulation actually makes it more fun in my opinion. Especially that feeling of dread when you're just starting out and you're messing with the controls with no idea what you're doing and an alarm starts going off.

It's also kind of fun flipping all the arming and safety switches before firing a missile. At least in DCS: Black Shark.
Not that I could ever get a missile to actually fire :v:

It's one thing if at the very least I could eventually learn. Though having played a few other(less hardcore) simulations, I'm pretty sure I'd be stuck in that hitting every button while alarms blare stage. Isn't there an easier mode or something, or is that just for multiplayer?
