Not that anyone gives a shit but I think Infamous is the best anti hero free roaming game in the world. I would love Infamous 2.
Well Infamous kinda did set itself up for a sequel (finish the game, you'll know what I mean). So I'm not surprised at this news, I was expecting it.
You know, despite the games relatively short length and nearly non-existent replay value to boot... i really enjoyed inFamous.
I can't quite put my finger on it... Maybe it was the strangely unique setting it has, maybe the funky powers or the character of Cole McGrath himself.
Maybe the denouement hooked me pretty hard... I won't state any details, but it made the main villain pretty unique as far as villains go, in my eyes anyway.
*Ahem* As for a sequel, definitely, I'll drink to it. There are obvious venues for improvements, and if they capitalize on those possibilities... Then we potentially have a lot to look forward to.
I rather have Prototype 2, you know since its multiplatform.

the first one, in my opinion, sucked.
at least, the demo really really turned me off. and the point of a demo is a demonstration, when the demo released it was a demonstration of the final product, and since i feel that that demonstration was awful, i can only assume that the final product is as well. highly unpolished, crappy game mechanics, severely lacking engine. the story might be ok but a story can only go so far

I didn't like the demo either. But I still went and got it. Still loved it.

Wow, we actually agree on something for once and I even played through the full game.

hurr durr it isnt on pc it sux dix hurr durr.
Meh, I didn't really like inFamous. I wanted a superhero game, but it kept turning into a cover shootan since you had to take cover to avoid being slaughtered by armies of hoodies with AK-47's.
I really enjoyed the first game. Enough that I played through it a good 3 times. Something about it just really drew me in. I hope there is a second one. They definitely did set it up for a sequel at the end of the first one.
The first one was awesome and i completed it can't wait for infamous 2 :D
i liked prototype more tbh
prototype looked and played like crap imo, overall i felt infamous was definately better made game, it felt fluid and smooth with a really good story and terrific cutscenes plus it was fun to play.
Being a big comic book fan i'll gladly welcome an infamous 2 as long as it continues the story really well and they use the same artstyle with the cutscene's and add bigger and more awesome powers.

:respek:
honestly, and i know i'll get some disagrees but i don't care, the only reason i can see someone saying they liked infamous is because it's an exclusive. if it was a multi-plat title and the same on all platforms, it would have gotten the same reception as prototype (abysmal).

There's a reason inFamous got an average critic score of 86/85% (depending on where you look).
Prototype didn't have quite as much of a reception, but still good, I don't know where you pulled the abysmal from.
I'm not going to blast your opinion and say 'you should like this because of these reasons:' because all I'd probably be doing is making myself look like another moronic fanboy. What I will say though, is that, personally, I found both inFamous and Prototype enjoyable games. Granted, Prototype got a little repetitive after a good couple of hours, and inFamous truly wasn't too much better seeing as Cole really only seemed to have a few variations of the same basic attack. Honestly though, I could see myself buying inFamous 2, after all, if I'm still playing the thing after seeing it through to the end then that must be saying something about how fun I think it is.

Unless by abysmal you mean sales-wise, in which case then yeah, I suppose I'm inclined to agree.
Fucking lack of an edit button.
If they did make InFamous 2, that would be pretty cool, though I would like them to finish fucking Sly Cooper as well ( though 3 might've been the end of it, it still would be awesome to play one final game)
Either way though, It would be cool for them to make a sequel. I wonder if the karmic state you ended with in the first one will affect the second? Probably won't, but it's something to hope for.

i cant wait
Awesome, hope they release it for 360 at some point. My PS3 controller gives me handcramp. It's like holding shurikens.
It would be great if they released this on multiple platforms. The wal-mart demo is as fun as shit.
T_T juussst after I buy the first game....
Anyway, Im enjoying the game thus far.
Its not hard to tell, suckerpunch fell back on a few of their succesfull Sly-cooper elements.
If they can somehow pull of Sly 4 and keep all the epicness of the story intact (Time machine plot can be difficult to pull off)

Yeah, because all of us have PS3's.
