So I just downloaded the newest firmware for the megalodon, fixes the problem on 64bit win7(sound and mic randomly turning off), BUT it makes your microphone send undiluted ear rape with your voice.
How can they fuck up this so badly, did no one test it before releasing the patch?
razer drivers are shit

True. I've got a copperhead and I can't install 64bit vista drivers without... nothing working anymore and windows crashing on start
dont use razer drivers.
my mouse (deathadder) works fine without them.
my carachias is broken/
I love my Razer Lycosa, but after installing the drivers, Windows Aero and ATi CrossFireX were broken until I reinstalled windows. :crying:
Using Windows 7, my Deathadder works fine, the buttons work fine and the on-the-fly sensitivity works fine, though doesn't come up overtop of most games. Not a problem since I can do it blindly.

The megalodon was randomly turning off the speakers and microphone without the FIRMWARE drivers, aka, you can't just go without them.
Mine does that too, But alas there are no drivers for the Caraiacas.
I found a temp way to kinda fix it, but only in ventrilo(No idea how to do it anywhere else you take the line in volume and put it really low.
..Hilarious, for some reason, now it's started to cut off sound again, even with the patch, gg razer, gg.
Most stuff like mice and keyboards don't need special drivers.. unless you want to assign buttons or change DPI

which is a large part of the point of getting a better mouse/keyboard
Does everybody have this problem? If so I am not going to be purchasing one of these next week.

there certainly seems to be a hell of a lot of problems with razer drivers in general
theres probably programs that can do what the razer drivers do (IE: change DPI, assign buttons) so you usually dont need them, ecept apparently OP needs them.
but Xpadder (or joy2key) lets you assign buttons. idk about dpi changing
just dont use their drivers.

Oh well, I guess I am going to buy another Sennheiser headset.
So wait gaise, is teh general consensus to NAWT use their drivers? :herpderp:
I've had my Deathadder since release and not had a single problem with it or the drivers, the only thing "bad" about it is one of the buttons is really loose from constant use, but then again I don't download drivers as soon as they hit the internet...

Do tell if you find a FIRMWARE DRIVER for the razer megalodon.
