So I have to express my love to Linux mint (Debian edition that is), I prefer the Debian based version because I don't really see the purpose in basing a distro on a Debian based one.Anyway, to the actual problem:When I download .deb files, I can right click them and choose to open with GDebi, which is the package installer. That's the only option I will ever need for .deb files, so I choose to open it with another application, but for some "funny" reason I cannot select it as the default program to open the file with, because it is already in the context menu... I just want to set it to open with GDebi when I double-click it,because it's becoming quite a pain to have to open the downloads folder and search for it to actually open it instead of just clicking it in the downloads bar in chrome...
I had the same issue in my Mint 12 installation. I fixed it, but I forget exactly what I did. I added some line to a hidden file in my Home folder. I'm googling for the results again.
