One of Sony's E3 2014 surprises may have just been spoiled. The often-leaky Amazon France has posted a product page (via IGN) for a special PlayStation 4/PlayStation Vita "Ultimate Player Edition" bundle. It's listed for €579, or about $790. According to the listing, it will go on sale July 4.
We were not able to find the same product page on Amazon's North American website. In Europe, the PS4 currently sells for €399.99 ($540) and the PlayStation Vita costs €179.99 ($245), meaning the bundle isn't offering much in the way of savings. However, it also could include some pack-in goodies, and we've reached out to Sony for comment. Sucker Punch's PS4-exclusive action game Infamous: Second Son is shown on the box.
Separately, Twitter user Wario64 has obtained a scan of next week's Best Buy advertisement, which shows a $560 PS4/PS Vita bundle that includes both systems and a copy of Borderlands 2 for PS Vita.
In February, PlayStation hardware marketing executive John Koller said Sony had "no firm plans" to offer a PS4/PS Vita bundle, though he admitted that "it's an interesting proposition."
Sony's E3 2014 press conference takes place Monday, June 9 starting at 6 p.m. PDT.
About time, this is what the Vita needs.
That better net you some cool shit, because that's pretty much the RRP for a PS4 and a Vita combined.
Man if this comes with a game for each system I would be very tempted to get this bundle. I was planning on eventually getting a PS4 anyway and with PS+ you can get some really good games on the Vita.
Though you probably get a shitty memory card for the Vita, and Sony don't sell them cheap.
They missed a chance by not making it cheaper then buying them separately.

they cant really do that since they are already selling both as a loss, selling it even cheaper would probably pull them even farther down the hole.

Think of how many people use PS+, not to mention the regular game sales. Plus, PS vita does tons to interact with both the PS3 and PS4, on top of the monthly free games and cross buys littered throughout the PSN store.
I understand they'd take a hit at first, but in the long run it could drive sales even farther.
thats the only way to sell that device now.
bundle it with something that sells.
PS4 + Vita is an amazing combination. I love how seamlessly they work together, and you can use remote play from anywhere and not just limited to being near the system. Massive improvement from the original remote play on PS3.

Considering how many features are designed to work with the two connected, it's more a convenience thing than a "god this shitty handheld wont sell...lets trick them into buying it!"

Now we need a Wii U + 3DS bundle. :v:

Except the Vita is doing fine, not selling millions a month, but still doing good.
