i wanted to know if my video card (GeForce 8600 gs) could support 2 moniters. it has 1 vga input and 1 dvi input in the back, but i can buy a dvi to analog adapter for one of the moniters. heres a picture of my video card: thanks
Two ports + DVI/VGA Adapter = Another Monitor
You can buy one, but usually it comes with it.
i never got one cuz it came already installed in my computer
You can run 3 displays. 2 main monitors, and a TV over S-Video.
You can run 3 displays. 2 main monitors, and a TV over S-Video.
not with older cards (like ati radeon x800pro, bitch only wanted to run 2 displays, no matter what configuration)

Is it just me that's under the impression quality on an S-Video port is terrible? I remember trying it on a laptop once to a HDTV and it looked awful, like... unreadable.
You can't with that. [editline]01:54PM[/editline]
Is it just me that's under the impression quality on an S-Video port is terrible?
Yes. You do not need to have a dvi>vga adapter unless you are using older monitors which do not support dvi, but it doesn't matter either way. [editline]09:26AM[/editline] That is a super s-video port, it can do component out. yea my dad can bring home old moniters from his work, but they're all vga, so i needed that dvi to vga adapter to connect them
You'll be fine.
