Alright, my mums 50 year old computer is starting to bite the dust. Several caps have popped (brown looking dooky on the top) while others are bulging, it surprises me how it still works.
Anyway, I've had an old computer laying around the house the past 5 years and want to get that running. The thing is it doesn't use a 24-pin power connector but the older 20-pin connector.
Is it still possible to find a brand new PSU like this? Or do I have to start looking on ebay?
I live in Aus btw.
50 year old? I'm guessing it's windows 95-98?
don't nearly all PSUs come with the 4 pin separate from the 20 just in case of something like this
So it's from the 60s?

Yes
is it ATX or AT?
If it's ATX you can get a regular 20+4 pin PSU and not plug in the extra four pins. Otherwise, you'll have a hard time finding anything other than on ebay

Edit:
What am I talking about, AT is 12 pins anyway. OP get a regular 20+4 pin PSU.

I remember trying that and it didn't fit. I forgot why (over a year ago).

The extra four are usually removeable, or should fit over the side of the connector. If it still doesn't fit, you're hanging the extra four pins off the wrong side.
I tried that just then with a 24 pin generic PSU I have in my PC and it didn't fit regardless of which side was hanging off the side.
I checked the local paper and there is a store near by who deals with older PC parts and stuff so I'll just go there sometime during the week.
take a picture?
I went over my download quota so I'm capped at dial-up speed. It resets Monday night so I'll get pictures by Tuesday.
Or you can buy this
