Mythbusters is pretty much the best real Science programs still around and has been around since its inception in 2003.
The massive TV Series stars Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, Two special Effects Experts, as they, along with Hyneman's M5 Industries, attempt to "Bust" Various urban legends and tall tales from around the world using various methods of Science and Robotics and more.
The series also includes artist Kari Byron, Builder Tory Belleci, and Robotics Expert + Hyneman's Colleague, Grant Imahara, who used to work alongside the main cast, before getting a separate Workshop called M7. Former members of the Build team were Jessi Combs and Scottie Chapman.
Currently the series has spanned over 10 Seasons and is still ongoing. you can see an entire marathon plus a new episode every sunday on the Discovery Channel.
Myths:
During each episode the team usually does 2, sometimes more, "Myths". they often range from Internet Rumors, Popular Beliefs, and others. However, they tend to avoid Paranormal Myths, the only one they did being Pyramid Power, where Savage specifically mentioned "No more oogie boogie myths please." the process usually goes from testing it in a small scale format in the workshop, then going big to recreate it fully.
when testing is finished, they would classify the myths depending on what happened, A known list of classifications are:
Busted: When a myth is proven to be fake/not true.
Plausable: When a myth is proven to be true, but not closely replicated.
Confirmed: Same as Plausable, but instead given if the myth has been sucessfully and fully recreated.
Many elements of the Series are introduced in a humorous fashion, such as Vulgar language, the "Dont try this at home" segments, and plenty of other sections.
Some of the most popular myths include the JATO Rocket Car, the Water Heater Rocket, and the Jet Taxi.

Trivia (AKA Misc information that isnt really necessary but I feel like I need to include it):
In January of 2005, Andrew Knight claimed he had also created a team of "Mythbusters" who had been in action since 1988 and filed a Lawsuit aganst the TV Show for it using the Mythbusters name. both claims obviously failed.
During filming, 2 times there had been suprising accidents:
During the filming of the "Knock your Socks Off" myth, 500 Pounds of ANFO being detonated in the Esparto Quarry accidentally shattered the windows of houses in a nearby community area, prompting Mythbusters to abandon the site and there is no more testing in there.
When they were filming the myth about several objects being fired out of a Cannon, one of the projectiles went far over their intended target and ended up accidentally crashing into a house and Minivan. fortunately the cast apologized to the house owner and testing resumed without incident.
The Original 2 Mythbusters made 2 Cameos in the hit TV Series "CSI", In "The Theory of Everything", they appear as observers as one of the CSI Agents demonstrates how a man was murdered thanks to a can of Pepper Spray and a Taser. A video of one of the episodes was used in another episode of CSI to demonstrate a Thermite Fire.
President Barack Obama appeared in the revisit of Archemiede's Solar Ray as the one who requested it.
According to Wikipedia, over 769 Myths were tested, over 2,391 experiments were preformed, and over 12 tons of explosives were used.

Where do I get DVDs for the episodes?:
Are you kidding me? you can actually get it off of the Discovery Channel website. they are all avaible to order.
jamie and adam for president 2012.
I deeply enjoy this show.
I am not even kidding when I say this but whenever I turn this show on, it's always always always the "can you walk in a straight line while blind folded" episode. It's either that one, or this other episode where they recap their top 10 favorite water myths. It's like the discovery channel can't play any other reruns, they just have to play these 2 for eternity.

Where do you live my Discovery channel plays a marathon of all the episodes for like three hours every other day for me and I'm on the west coast of the U.S.
I'm on the west coast too but I'm in Canada so that may be why. I had a friend tell me a long time ago that they air new episodes in later months in Canada and can't have a regular schedule or some shit like that? I didn't really believe him but maybe he was right about some of it. I remember the exact scenarios too because I'd chill with my friends till about 11-11:30 and then mythbusters would always be on. It was like they had a handful of episode and would just rotate through them but those 2 episodes come up a lot. I even brought it up with one of my friends and he totally noticed it too so I don't really know.
i dunno about this show, it can be awesome but the cast can be almost cringingly dorky.
I can watch this show for hours, even if I know the outcome. It's just so darn addicting.
I think it's funny when they said that no parts of the show are scripted, but it's so painfully obvious in the introduction of each myth that it is.
Still a great show, and I need to catch up on the latest season.
I wonder how many total episodes this show has had.
I need to catch up on newest episodes though.
I dont really watch it all that much (stupid TV schedule), but I enjoy it when it does come on- it provides nice science tidbits, like the fact that bullets shatter on contact with water (when being shot from a gun)

Using my Laptop Calculator plus the Wikipedia list of Mythbusters episodes I counted 222 Episodes (including the 3 pilot episodes and 13 special episodes)
Plus, according to wikipedia, over 2,391 experiments were done on the show and over 769 myths were tested.
did you count the greatest hits episodes? cause none of them ever have new shit iirc.

Im not sure if I counted the Greatest Hits Episodes, they are explicitly pointed out so I just counted the total episodes in existence, including specials.
I wish i could watch some reruns of this, but my discovery channel is ~~GOLD RUSH~~ 24/7.
It's like they hate 3rd world countries.
I love this show. usually, we end up watching episodes in science class if we have nothing to do.
I used to watch this shit all the time back when I had netflix.

Adam and Jamie do a really good job, but the other cast.. Well, let's just say that I've seen porn with better acting. And why do they need to act anyway?
One of the only shows left on Discovery that still seems like it belongs on Discovery

Its supposed to make the show more interesting I think.
I've got friends that have appeared in a few episodes in the past, they're the family that owns Meyer Sound.
