The united states national debt is about 13 trillion dollars, and we owe a huge lump sum to China. Well, what happens if one day China decides they've waited long enough for us to pay them back?
I'm thinking it's something like banks do if you don't pay off the house. They start taking things from you, one by one, possession by possession. I'm thinking China is going to ask something, and if it is like this (since we all know the government is never going to pay it off) the United States would probably first give up the territory Puerto Rico. Then they would give up some state like Hawaii. I doubt the government would give up Alaska however, due to the oil resources.
When do you think China will stop cutting us some slack, and what do you think they will ask for?
Just give them Canada?

Don't you mean 15 trillion?
If someone owed you 15 trillion dollars would you ever cut them slack?
So when will China break the legs of America?

You've got a point, but China's doing just that. Also, all of the national debt isn't just from China, there's other countries but I'm pretty sure China's is the biggest we owe.

Yes.
The debt isn't owed to one entity like the chinese government, it's spread out between banks, businesses, private investors, and many other people
And there is also plenty of debt owed by people in China to the US
it's a lot messier than you think
It wont be as easy as, just give away Hawaii to the Chinese that will make it better.
The US owes China something like 8-9%. It owes over 60% to the American people.
China is doing fine, they don't need our money, we need theirs.

Did not know that, sir. ! But, doesn't the USA interest go up like more than a million every day? I know that not all of it is China though, so I don't know.

Of course it's not. They're going to ask "Where's our money?!", and the USA responds "Uh, we don't have it yet." They're going to want things in return, like some countries and more exports for free etc.

I bet.
If China was to do that it would significantly harm themselves, it won't be happening

Good to know sir! I'm glad you're here, because you know for sure it would harm themselves. Well, I guess since you know that it won't be happening for certain, then I guess this mod could be closed. You are sure right?

The Short answer is War.
While the Chinese Government holds a large chunk of the U.S. national debt, it should be understood that they only hold a fairly small amount of the total national debt. The sum all debt owed to other countries is only around 4.5~5 trillion dollars. China owns a bit over 1.1 trillion.
It should be kept in mind that a country's total national debt is not only what is owed to other governments. Our total national debt refers to all money owed to everyone. A majority of it is owed to either the public or to different departments within the government.
Don't get me wrong, China holds a lot of our debt but it's not like they completely own us.

Yeah my bad, it's just that I'm pretty sure that we owe China the largest amount, like as in it's the country that we owe the most to in itself.

that's actually incredibly unlikely
