• Need help fixing a PSD file.

So, I'm not sure how it happened, but a PSD file I've been working on for a few days got damaged. I've been trying to fix it for an hour but I'm not having any luck. Basically, when I preview the file, it just shows a black layer. When I try to open it in photoshop it says 'Could not complete your request because the file is not compatible with this version of Photoshop.' I've tried a few file repair tools but they aren't successful either. Is this beyond repair or is there anything else I can do to?
It's probably corrupt beyond repair, you could try to use window's restore-file-to-a-later-date rightclick function or open the .psd file in a hex editor and attempt to correct the header of the file. The former choice is your best bet.
The first didn't work and I have no idea how to use a hex editor, so I guess i can't fix it.
