Dangerously high CPU temps after installing new graphics card.

Hi,
I recently replaced my 2x 5770 setup with a single GTX 560 card, however this seems to have increased my CPU temps by quite a bit. CPU idles anywhere from 43-52 and under load it has been sitting at 63C, this is above the safe operating temperatures (for load). I have 6x 120mm case fans as well.. Has anyone got some advice for getting it colder as it makes my room extremely warm. I have an aftermarket cooler and I use Arctic 5 silver thermal paste. My cpu is a AMD Phenom II x4 955 and I have Cool&Quiet but it is still running hot.
Any and all ideas appreciated!
This is not above safe operating temperatures.
If anything some people would kill for those temps.
The max temp of a 955 is, according to AMD, 62C.
The temp is fine
Do you have 3 intake and 3 exhaust fans? That would make for a good airflow try that out see if it helps. Though kind of out there what kind of power supply do you have?
You may have somehow bumped the heatsink or something when you were installing the new GPU, or the new gpu isn't externally exhausting and the others were. Your best bet would be to clean and reapply the heatsink with new thermal compound to your 955, and make sure all your fans are set up correctly, you should have only the rear (and sometimes bottom and top, depending on the case and your setup) as exaust fans, and the rest as intake. You want more intake than outtake, or an equal number. It's better to have a positive air pressure than a negative one.

You don't need a cyclone inside your case for good airflow. At least one 80, 92 or 120mm fan that doesn't have obstructed airflow (EG. the fan grate is tiny holes that hardly allow air to pass) and a PSU with a fan that pulls air from the case can keep most machines adequately ventilated.
62c is fine under load. I don't worry till 70c.
But, I agree, you may have loosened the heatsink, try re-seating it tightly.
Yep agree with those above, higher temperatures does usually shorten life span of them, but at around 60°c it shouldn't be a concern.
Check the heatsink, put on some more thermal compund, and check your fans are not blocked. If your still getting higher temperatures after checking all of those, you might want to consider a better CPU cooler.
Well then my previous suggestion seems kind of over kill doesn't it. Okay re-seat the CPU cooler and reapply thermal paste is all I can suggest then.
Thanks for the ideas guys. I actually have 3 intakes and 3 exhaust so that should be okay. Anyway, since I stopped using my 2nd screen the problem seems to have gone. Temps are like 36/38 now CPU/GPU respectively.
