Justice Minister Tareck El Aissami says the show should be banned because it promotes the use of marijuana. He took exception to a recent episode in which one character - Brian, a talking dog - started a campaign to legalise the drug. Cable stations which refuse to dump the show would be fined, El Aissami said. It is not the first time the government of President Hugo Chavez has reacted badly to a cartoon. Last year, The Simpsons was deemed unsuitable for children after officials decided it flouted regulations prohibiting "messages that go against the whole education of boys, girls and adolescents". One local station was threatened with financial sanctions for broadcasting the adventures of the dysfunctional family in an early morning slot. Televen avoided the fine by pulling the show and replacing it with Baywatch. However, they were still forced to show public service films as an apology. Venezuelan TV is known for filling its schedules with re-runs of old US series and Latin American soap operas. It also includes a talk show hosted by the country's president, Hugo Chavez. New regulations for cable TV in the country could also see cable channels forced to carry Chavez's frequent speeches. Jesus Venezuela, have a sense of humour!
I'm surprised they don't just cut out episodes/edit episodes with stuff they find offencive.
that episode was stupid anyway
Venezuala suddenly saw a increase in IQ in children
:crossarms:
Ahh no, not animated druggery.
Yeah because Venezuala is drug free and needs to be protected from them
What a suprise! A country bans Family Guy.
Good.
I'm surprised they don't just cut out episodes/edit episodes with stuff they find offencive.
Then you'd just have an animated Robot Chicken.
Then you'd just have an animated Robot Chicken.
Robot Chicken is animated.
Wow Venezuela, what assholes The Simpsons and Family Guy are banned from your shit hole because it gives children the wrong message? Kid's hear about drugs in school anyway and as far as I recall Family Guy only talks about marijuana for that episode or two.
Robot Chicken is animated.
I meant cartoon. Semantics, semantics, semantics.
Why not just not show that episode?
Why not just not show that episode?
Because they need a new reason to whine and be noticed now that coke isn't the hit thing.
Venezuala suddenly saw a increase in IQ in children
I like family guy. Honestly, i think the reason everybody hates it is because nerds want to seem "intelligent" by shunning dumb humor which can help your mood quite a bit.
I'd like to see Family Guy banned everywhere. Well... Seth MacFarlane getting shot out of a cannon. Into the Sun. That would suffice.
I bet Cartman had something to do with it.
I like family guy. Honestly, i think the reason everybody hates it is because nerds want to seem "intelligent" by shunning dumb humor which can help your mood quite a bit.
Or because it sucks.
Or because it sucks.
Different opinions.
That sucks. Family guy is so awsome. Oh wait I live in usa.
I bet Cartman had something to do with it.
But MachiniOs, The Simpsons did it!
Different opinions.
Honey, some things are just bad.
Soulja boy indeed. Family guy is not.
Yes it is.
I'm surprised they don't just cut out episodes/edit episodes with stuff they find offencive.
Better to ban them than to butcher them.
Yes it is.
How do I put this? You have a bad sense of humor.
Yes it is.
Nuh-uh!
Family Guy was good when it first came out, but the newer ones are just "Ugh".
