Here is the Website. http://www.quibids.com/index.php General Description You register and Buy bids, so you buy about 15 bids for 15 dollars. Then you bid on Items starting around 6 cents. Items like an Imac, LCD Tv, etc. In the last 20 secs any bids placed will set the timer back up to 20 seconds and you keep bidding until you or someone else wins. So facepunch go out and bid!
What's the catch there has to be a fucking catch Also http://www.quibids.com/auction.php?id=14373 I've been watching this and everyone just seems to press the bid button at 0:01
Go to the website and see. You buy like 30 bids and each bid raises it a cent. You can get an Imac 27 Desktop for about 13 dollars right now, and still going. You usually win it around 100 dollars. Along with the bids you bought maybe 150 dollars for a 1700$ product is pretty damn good.
nevermind what i said refer to the post below
It's like a test of endurance. How long can you sit there and push bid.
Seems really risky. They always say if it's too good to be true, it usually is

I would like to see if this is Legitimate, anyone on facepunch willing to try it out, hehe. What I would like to know is why it would ever end. The price would go dangerously high, unless everyone doesn't want to waste/has no bids left.
Nevermind what I said, seems legit but really you're not going to win a bid It's a clever scheme really Once you put in money you put in more money and more and more so you don't feel like you wasted all that money for nothing so you're completely intent on winning the bid no matter how much money you put into it - and it just escalates and escalates. Around three or more people doing that and they'll all chip in a few hundred dollars and maybe even go over the normal price after spending so much money because they don't want to waste money until they hit their personal limit - which reinburses the company and some more Win for the company, win for the bidding winner for the most part unless they go over retail price, and a complete flop for the losers (Hey, they lost a few ten to a few hundred bucks)

That added with the bids you already spent can add up to a lot
http://www.quibids.com/auction.php?id=14366 Well this person won and got a great price. It's possible I guess.

It's possible I guess.
1.92 = 192 bids ish Seeing as he bid more or less one in three bids that's probably around $40 out of his wallet and in total the company earned $192 dollars and their profit is like $90 dollars from all this
So he paid about 40$ exactly for that item. That's not horrible. I guess you could say it's a good deal its brand new. http://www.quibids.com/auction.php?id=14367# This guy saved exactly 248.13$ on a new PS3. Not bad either.

They made $12,183.60 on bids on that item alone (I mean, unless I'm stupid and my math is wrong) Wow, these people had a great idea with this site...

The only thing about this website is you have to win
There's an example right there, a guy named BRYANT75 is trying to buy an iMac 27" for about $22, but from what i've seen he's spent well over that in bids. [editline]02:58AM[/editline] Oh shit this is intense, in the last 00:01 seconds some one bidded on the iMac [editline]02:58AM[/editline] Ohmygodohmygod who's gonna win
I can imagine that this is somewhat like using a slot machine, once you start it is difficult to stop. Especially when you believe you are in sight of your goal.
Oh look those portable iPod speakers went for 2 dollars. [editline]02:59AM[/editline] And looking at the bidding history, the winner spent 20 dollars bidding.

What you do is you buy bids in packs so you go ahead and buy say a pack of 800 (there are packs of 40, 75, 300, 600 and 800) for 480$. That's your bidding investment. Then you get an item for say 42$ with an original price of 399$ dollars and bid 60 times on it. You've spent total 78$ on that item alone. Thats not bad.
He's been bidding like every ten seconds for the past hour
Oh God. He just won a 250 bid voucher. He'll likely win the iMac, but he'd be better off buying one straight out
Whoever created this service must be a genius. They've probably made so much money.
He's probably going to end up spending about 1000$ on the Imac all together with shipping and bids. Or atleast I hope he does as if he loses money :ohdear:

I have a total of 600+ dollars in the bank. 360 and a copy of EFLC*. *Episodes From Liberty City
haha that explains why they are still in buisness
The company made 558$ from that person in my example and he got that 399$ item. But then again he only used 60 of his 800 bids from my example. I guess it all evens out, aslong as you win
