• USB Mini fridge.

I´m considering buying one of these; I'm aware that it's not a super cooled titanium boxed beverage from Mr. freeze's collection. I find it a nice novelty item that can be useful when gaming or otherwise at the PC. Cheapest price I could find is 14.95 pounds on amazon.co.uk (I live in the Netherlands). Now I'm wondering if anyone has one of these things or has any experience with it. I'm expecting it to at least keep a can of coke/energy drink cool and that it's practical. Don't suggest something else that's 60 euro's or something. I'm not looking for an actual mini-fridge as I'm not an excessive consumer of beverages. I would appreciate suggestions if there's something similar/better or if it's somewhere cheaper. Thanks in advance :buddy:
Looks cool, but they break fast and your better off with a bar stub fridge.
aww it looks cute <3
Looks cool, but they break fast and your better off with a bar stub fridge.
What's that exactly? [editline]02:08PM[/editline]
aww it looks cute <3
Exactly my point, would look awesome next to the desk AND be functional :buddy:
^That thing would get cleared out by me within 2 days :buddy:. Besides, I won't use such a big minifridge that extensively (AKA won't use it that much). Plus, I can't afford that, unfortunately. [editline]02:14PM[/editline] Still, thanks for the input.
Dark wolf you can find a fridge like this on deal extreme for less. Looks exactly like the on in OP except red I think. I'll get link hold on. [editline]03:19PM[/editline] Wait, sorry this one is more expensive. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7340
This one? http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7340 20 bucks, It's 22.31 USD when converted with the 15 pounds on amazon. I'd prefer the black on though. [editline]02:54PM[/editline] By the way, if I'm correct this can also cool/warm glasses of drinks :buddy:
Can you give me the link to the USB minfridge in the OP, DarkWolf? Edit: Don't worry about it.

I had a spare £16 so I decided to buy the stylish one.
I'm on the brink of doing that as well. [editline]03:41PM[/editline] We can exchange cooler stories and cold beverages :buddy:
I've heard they're lound and not practical as they don't make your cola as cold as you want it to. Best bet would be to get one similiar to what pedroion recommended, as it actually cools the cola, rather than just blowing air at it.
It doesn't blow air at it, it has a cooler mat with will cool it to a cold 8.3c.
It doesn't blow air at it, it has a cooler mat with will cool it to a cold 8.3c.
90% of these use a fan because you can't run jack when it's powered by a 5v USB, there's simply not enough power. Also link.

They're pretty positive about it as well. It also heats stuff :buddy:

That's awesome, you should totally get one!
Oh it isn't a fan version? That's awesome, you should totally get one!
Well, it does use a fan BUT it conducts to a metal plate to make it extra cold or something. At least it's not fan>fridge
Can't wait to get mine!
what is the point of this???
I have a minifridge that has room for six 33 cl. It's practical, and it was free :buddy:
Because I don't want to keep a bowl of water, salt and ice next to my computer for risk of tipping it over. Plus it's not practical to refresh it every 2 hours.
Because I don't want to keep a bowl of water, salt and ice next to my computer for risk of tipping it over. Plus it's not practical to refresh it every 2 hours.
that is too bad
I have the same thing. It isn't very good actually. Even with a can being in there for a long time it doesn't even feel that cool. Only the bottom of the can even feels cold to the touch.

[editline]05:34PM[/editline] Seeing as the first one didn't have heating options.
Saturn in Utrecht now has a table-size mini fridge for only 99 euros http://www.saturn.nl/aanbiedingen/store_flash/185/index.php3 Page 7 3 year guarantee, why wouldn't you just take one? It also has Energielabel A (Note that for fridges Energielabel A++ is the highest it can get)

Holy fuck, i want one.
I used to have a fridge by my PC, it's so unhealthy. Think about it.
I used to have a fridge by my PC, it's so unhealthy. Think about it.
I can only drink one at a perfectly cooled temperature at a time. Think about it. :v:
According to reviews on DealExtreme it is only decent if the drink is already cold. It can keep a drink cold very well, but has trouble making it any colder than the temperature you put it in at.
