• Safe Tempatures for my 9800GTX

Well ive been wondering about my GPU tempature. I know they can take more heat than the CPU but how much?I usually idle it at 58C and full load hit about 74C. Are those temps acceptable? And i have rivatuner and keep the fan at 100% because it doesnt push much air on any other setting. And what is the threshhold before i should worry? Also it is 1 yr old in August. So it seems to be doing great. But im still curious. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.
those temps are fine, but don't run the fan at 100% all the time... it doesn't need to really be pushing air to cool it. Just keep it at 60% or so.
Full load of 74 is fine.

It's fine. I let mine run for up to a week or more. I don't get any artifacts in game either.
The cards are designed to be set on auto, so auto should be fine, no matter what temp. If it fails, then of course, RMA & COMPLAIN. lol

[editline]11:29PM[/editline] I don't want to get banned, so let me elaborate. They can't account for every airflow situation and temperature conditions. Some people use the manual fan control to lower noise; others use it to cool their card down if they think it's too loud.

"Get out" That's starting to piss me off, I won't leave FP because I'm not 100 percent right. Can you stop it, it's not helping anybody by saying that. Thanks
