Hey, so I got a problem with my mouse that started a week ago.
Whenever I try to make a straight line with my mouse it keeps bouncing up and down, like this (actually tried to draw a straight line here)
It was working fine up until a week ago, it works better if I don't use it for a day, then it can make straight lines, but after an hour of use it starts twitching.
I opened it and checked, I couldn't find anything wrong with it.
I also tried cleaning it by the lens with some cotton but it didn't help.
Try running it on different surfaces and resetting the mouse sensitivity settings in windows to default.
Also uninstall any driver software like logitech set-point.
It would also help if you told us what mouse you have...
The mouse is an A4Tech (spelling?) X7, looks like this:
Does the same on any surface, no special software installed for it either.
Probably just a cheap mouse that is broken.
You could open it up to check if the optical sensor is jiggling around.
I've never heard of that brand, is it any good?
I opened it up and checked it, there's a little plastic piece that holds the sensor which I could move, so I taped it so it can't move and it still does it.
It was a good mouse for about 2 years, this is the first time I've had problems with it, I could prolly get a new one.

Oh I lowered the mouse sens (there's a button for it on the mouse) and now it stopped, perfect :toot:
Sounds to me like in order to give the impression of such a high DPI they've put it on the edge of twitchyness.
