Time Warner’s CFO and chief administrative officer John K. Martin confirmed the existence of a new game during their investor call.
And we also have a strong games release this year, which will include the next release in the Batman Arkham franchise. So all in all, we expect Warners to post another very strong year in 2013. And with a little luck, the year should be as good or maybe even a little bit better than 2012.

I'm interested to see how they're going to top Arkham City on terms of scale.

Saw that coming. Hoping for a more Frank Miller esque Batman this time around, could go well with the ending of AC and the followup comic.
As long as it doesn't suffer from Mass Effect/Dead Space syndrome.
There are rumors that Rocksteady isn't developing it so I'm a little cautious about this.
It's time for Batman: Arkham Continent
There are rumors that Rocksteady isn't developing it so I'm a little cautious about this.
dude, I hope this rumor is false, because seriously why the fuck
I hope they don't do what Arkham City did and try to throw in every Batman villain ever.
Eh, as much as I loved AA and AC, I'm just a bit wary because of too much of a good thing.
Batman: Justice League can play as the core justice league!
Wasn't there rumors of a silver-age prequel to AA?
I'm interested to see how they're going to top Arkham City on terms of scale.
Having looked into this before, it's rumoured to be a prequel dealing with Batman's first encounter with Joker. [editline]oh hamburgers[/editline] Found it.
New, highly stylized title is being developed as a prequel that revolves around Batman's first meeting with the Joker. It's based on the Silver Age of DC's comicbooks from the 1950s when the Caped Crusader teamed with other heroes like Superman and founded the Justice League of America.
Again, only rumoured.
It's time for Batman: Arkham Continent
Super Arkham Galaxy
There are rumors that Rocksteady isn't developing it so I'm a little cautious about this.
the only good part of this rumor if it's true is that there won't be GFWL in the PC port and SecuRom. Rocksteady is the ones who actually made the decision to include SecuRom, not Warner Brothers
Arkham Asylum --> Arkham City --> Gotham City?
What about Arkham Nation?
Super Arkham Galaxy.
Batman: Arkham Multiverse
from the eastereggs you see in arkham city its likely going to be something with templars, secret societies, world ending, hell, baby joker etc
from the eastereggs you see in arkham city its likely going to be something with templars, secret societies, world ending, hell, baby joker etc
In the DLC you see [sp]a crib with Scarface painted up like Joker. There are dozens of pregnancy tests on the floor that all read negative with the implication that Harley Quinn either had a false positive or had a miscarriage.[/sp]
Eh, as much as I loved AA and AC, I'm just a bit wary because of too much of a good thing.
Well thing is, it is a good sign they aren't rushing it and trying to turn it in to a yearly release. It probably won't be a big disappointment. If there is anything they could possibly improve, I'd say it's the settings and to a bigger extent, side missions. I enjoyed Arkham Asylum more overall because I simply like the setting better than the city. I thought the core gameplay in City was improved and they didn't really mess up on anything by trying to change features and shit. But about the side missions. Well, I thought they went a bit overboard with them in AC. Especially with the riddles. Still haven't collected all the Riddler Trophies or saved all the hostages.
Rumor says that it's not being made by Rocksteady and that it's a Silver-Age prequel that [sp]abandons the Scarecrow setup[/sp] and introduces the Justice League. On the upside, my expectations can't be crushed much more soundly than that, so if it turns out to be amazing, I'll have a blast with it. If not, oh well, I called it, guess I'll go back to trying to 100% Arkham City.
There are rumors that Rocksteady isn't developing it so I'm a little cautious about this.
i remembering reading somewhere that they are going to do a "teenage mutant ninja turtles" game but i dunno
I want a game revolving entirely around Scarecrow. The shit you can do with him, man.
I want a game revolving entirely around Scarecrow. The shit you can do with him, man.
Would get a bit boring after a while. Arkham Asylum did it well because there's a grand total of three encounters with him and they are all great. Too much wouldn't be as interesting. Concerning this new arkham game a gotham city one would be nice.
i remembering reading somewhere that they are going to do a "teenage mutant ninja turtles" game but i dunno
That was an old-ass rumor (I'm talking like 1-2 years old) that was sadly debunked. A Rocksteady TMNT game would have been amazing. 4-player co-op and all the vehicles, including a skateboard and the Turtle Blimp. Shit sounded too good to be true, sadly it was. [editline]13th February 2013[/editline]
I want a game revolving entirely around Scarecrow. The shit you can do with him, man.
I remember someone suggesting that they could use the fear gas as an excuse to re-enact famous Batman moments. Like, Bats gets sprayed, then he starts seeing the city deteriorate. The room infront of him turns into a mudpit at a dump. He feels old and weak and before him is a hulking brute. One of Batman's fears is that he will inevitably grow old and tired and not be able to be Batman any more, so he starts seeing what is basically the Mutant Leader fight from TDKR. Or maybe he gets sprayed and starts having lucid flashbacks. All of a sudden, he's in a race against time to save Jason Todd from the Joker. He gets there, it's too late, and FLASH, everything's back to normal and he's failed to save some random civilian or something. Have a few Scarecrow encounters (like, he gasses you and you trip balls) spread out inbetween fighting other guys related to the story (Poison Ivy, probably Ra's, maybe Creeper (not really a villain, but still)), then have a big fight at the very end.
Arkham Asylum --> Arkham City --> Gotham City?
Arglarb blargh zobitty bop: here lies batman.
I just want a fight with the Riddler. Riddler owns. have a section with the minotaur and the labyrinth, it'd be great
Pretty sure it was said once that it'd be Justice League era, not necessarily a sequel. Just another Arkham-esque Batman game.
