i am now ready to die
I fucking KNEW IT! I knew they'd follow up on the whole "I'll see you in 25 years" thing. Consider me hyped for the return, I hope it's still as great as the old show. Meanwhile...

I love Twin Peaks for it's unique approach and quirkiness. Some of those characters were just so amazing and enjoyable. Especially Agent Cooper. That said the second season was pretty lackluster and kind of lost focus, especially since we already knew the murderer and the show just drifted on. The ending was exceptional though, that black lodge dream sequence is just so amazing. Hope they don't try to force to much of the old stuff into this. Can't wait to see it.
But it already had a spin-off video game.

Given the fact that this is Lynch's first big work in what will have been 10 years come 2016 (Inland Empire in 06 was his last), and TV being as highly regarded and powerful as it is right now, I'm sure we can expect Lynch at his best.

The second season just has a lack of focus and some characters just don't get any closure. It was always a mix between a crime investigation series and soap opera, in a weird undefined way. Hope that Lynch will do his best with this series. Although I'll be missing Cooper a lot.

The new segs will be set in the present day and continue storylines established in the second season. Sources emphasize that the new episodes will not be a remake or a reboot but will reflect the passage of time since viewers last checked in with key characters.
Fuck yes. There's no word on the casting, but I can bet everything that most of the original cast is on board with this - especially the entire Palmer family. And Kyle MacLachlan, I doubt Lynch would go ahead with this without him. Welp, now I finally have a reason to finish the second half of season 2 (it's dreadful to get through after [sp]Laura's killer is arrested[/sp])
Welp, now I finally have a reason to finish the second half of season 2 (it's dreadful to get through after [sp]Laura's killer is arrested[/sp])
It picks back up. Worth watching for the end.
oh my god yes maybe we will finally find out how Annie is
She probably got hit by, nay, STRUCK by a smooth criminal during the intervening years.
I'm actually so glad they waited 25 years for this. It's perfect. [editline]6th October 2014[/editline] It is happening again
everything I know about twin peaks I know via the references to it in kingdom of loathing I am not proud of how much of my general knowledge is gained in this way
Welp, now I finally have a reason to finish the second half of season 2 (it's dreadful to get through after [sp]Laura's killer is arrested[/sp])
But technically [sp]he never gets arrested. Bob is never captured.[/sp]
One thing about Twin Peaks, that show was stockpiled with hot chicks. I can imagine the cast for this new show, it'll be enough to justify a whole new Fappening.

I expected something after that new box set was announced, but a continuation/new series? Bravo Lynch.
my girlfriend and i just started watching this, caught the 25 years later comment that's fucking genius
I was just about to start the first season!
But it already had a spin-off video game.
I started watching Twin Peaks simply becasue of how much I loved this game. Any fans of the show in here, I can't reccomend it enough. It's a love letter to Twin Peaks, it's similar but it goes in such a different direction you'll like it. It's got the same comfy feeling and the same immersive quirky atmosphere.
oh yes, can't wait!
