I remember playing the demo of this game over and over again, walking up that highway and never knowing what's on the other side. Maybe I should buy this...
If anyone hasn't already heard the soundtrack for this it's to die for
WHAAAAAAAAAT [editline]23rd February 2014[/editline] Grim Fandango has interesting modding capabilities. I saw there was some other mod that got model importing working and were working on HD models of everyone. [editline]23rd February 2014[/editline] I still have my big boxed copy of Grim Fandango somewhere

[editline]23rd February 2014[/editline] I still have my big boxed copy of Grim Fandango somewhere
Big boxed copies of Grim Fandango go for a pretty penny. God, even a normal copy still goes for upwards of £15.
By somewhere I mean somewhere at my parents' house, which is massive and known throughout my family for being a black hole for everything. I still have the discs and the little case for it, but the box and instructions are still at the place - and probably either crushed in the garage somewhere or in a box and crushed. My Monkey Island boxes are there too. But hopefully it's okay and I will find it one day.
holy shit i wanna replay this now i always post this whenever grim fandango comes up but this shot at the end is by far one of my favorite in any form of media - film, games, tv, everything. to me the whole game is then one big buildup to that reveal, and it's so perfect. calm and peaceful and morbid and beautiful all at once. all the stories about grim fandango being one of the best adventure games of all time are not overhyped or exaggerated at all. it's a masterpiece. and i can only imagine playing it with a mouse makes it a million times better lol.
did pcgamesn really just reword the title of a reddit post http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/1ym67u/grim_fandango_an_enterprising_modder_has_created/
I love seeing shit like this. Like what, more than a decade later and someone cared enough to change the way the game is played entirely, arguably more efficiently? More companies need to support modding these days.
if only it would work on my computer
if only it would work on my computer
it can. you need to use ResidualVM
Next paycheck, I might try picking up a copy of this game from Amazon. I wish Valve or GOG sell us a version optimized for modern machines.
i haven't played it, but I watched a commentary-free LP of it, and I still really enjoyed it. Great story, great dialogue, great setting, and great music. I really should play it some time.
