While this game is the worst of the games that TellTaleGames has made, for $10 it really isn't that bad. It adds a bit of backstory to the first Jurassic Park movie that you can actually believe took place while the viewer watched John Hammond and his group try to escape.

Worse than Telltale Texas Hold ‘Em?

I'm not sure you can actually compare the two.
Now if you were comparing Telltale Texas Hold'em to Poker Night, you could say that Poker Night is the superior of the two.
At least Telltale Texas Hold'em is exactly what it says it is, a 3d animated version of a card game. There isn't much more to it.
Jurassic Park left a lot to be desired. It's gameplay while backed by a decent story, could get stale by parts like having to check every area for a dinosaur, to having to find the Barbasol can in the mud, a part which had you search a 4 part area, in which you would have to return to the Jeep every time to move the light (which in itself, took about 2 minutes to do, just so you could spend more time searching the area you just shined the light on). For the full price, it isn't worth it, to someone who isn't a fan of Jurassic Park, I wouldn't recommend it, but for this price if you are a fan, it is worth a go.
To be honest, I don't get the hate for this game. I played it and loved it.
I'm not letting anything else ruin my childhood.
This game isn't as bad as you would think. I actually enjoyed it a lot. The films were my childhood. This game fills in some blanks on why some dinosaurs aren't like how they really should be as we learned more about them in real life. Like raptors not having feathers, and among other things. Botchy gene slicing, etc. The game is like one giant cut scene with quick time events, but don't let that turn you off from the game, pick it up if you're a fan. It won't ruin anything about the movies or your childhood.
Too QTE heavy for my tastes.
