Good initiative, makes sense.
This is just in: People will pay 10 euros a month instead of googling "How to open a port on my router model" and "How to set up a minecraft server" and following a couple of simple steps. Keep in mind that these are the same people who have kids and jobs and probably did a lot more complicated tasks in their lifetimes. And don't give me bullshit excuses. Anyone who can figure out how to input their credit card details on a website can figure out how to download a program, edit a text file and launch it. Anyone who's not paralyzed can do it.

Maybe you can't even host a server yourself due to the upload connection you're behind. Maybe you want the server to be online 24/7. Maybe €10 a month is not a big deal to you, especially if 10 friends are paying €1 each.
The price is a little steep but the idea is ok for those that are clueless or want a server permanently online.

Even worse than those parents who buy their kid a PC instead of building one; should probably get a visit from child services

It's about the same as my 10 person garry's mod server costed back in the day and I had no problems paying for that when I was like 13 Either way I see nothing wrong with this, hosting your own server isn't for everyone and this should be useful for a lot of people

I'm pretty sure EA even let you rent servers for the Battlefield games from them. You act like this is some terrible new precedent when it's been standard fare for a while now. Like, do you not grasp the concept of a Dedicated Server?
And nothing is made at mojang for the next 5 years.
