Well Facepunch, it is time to say goodbye. At least, for now.

Well Facepunch, the time has come. I am deploying to Afghanistan on Thursday. While there I do not know if I will be able to post here, due to the awful internet that is set up over there. Looking back from my first joining in 06, Facepunch has really been the one constant throughout my life. I enjoy it for its openness to discuss everything, as well as there being some great people that I have met on here. Facepunch has been there every step of the way, from 7th grade, through all of high school, to my enlistment, to my current deployment. I hope to be able to access Facepunch while deployed, so this may or may not be my last post for 9 months. Thank you Facepunch, for being there to brighten my day, or to engage in serious debate. Thanks.

Goodbye, try not to die
Good luck. I've got my brother in Afghanistan too.

Trust me, I intend to avoid that if possible.
Good luck, and if you're on a road, watch out for IEDs.
Take care of yourself and try not to get shot at.
Make sure to pack your Fluttershy blanket.

Don't have any of those, just 2 shirts that I am packing.
If you see an IED be sure to stomp and jump on it. You're commin to my territory now mothafucka
Don't trust any of the locals, and when it's around time for you to come back home, don't let down your guard. A lot of troops meet their end around the time they leave, because they let their guard down.
