i would play eve if it wasn't spreadsheet simulator.
i would play eve if it wasn't spreadsheet simulator.
What does this mean? You would play eve of they took away core features like a simulated economy?
What does this mean? You would play eve of they took away core features like a simulated economy?
i'm a real-time type of player, not the setting my shit up for ten minutes into the future type.
I'd probably play EVE if it was a little more involved in the combat and flight. It just kind of bores me as it is.
Time dilation must have been hell.
i'm a real-time type of player, not the setting my shit up for ten minutes into the future type.
Check out Elite: Dangerous.
Check out Elite: Dangerous.
have it. doesn't run too well on my laptop, so i'm waiting until i get my new pc to play it.
i'm a real-time type of player, not the setting my shit up for ten minutes into the future type.
So then don't play Eve. They shouldn't change the game so many people enjoy just because it isn't to your tastes.
I was planning to participate in this but it started at 3am local so I was too drunk to even start the game let alone repair Scorpions in a free Augoror that Horde was handing out
So then don't play Eve. You're making an argument out of literally nothing.

The spreadsheets are why I stopped playing. I want to blow shit up in large fleet ops. I just I don't feel like spending ten hours doing Planetary shit, two hours munching on space rocks, and another hour or two in JITA jockeying skills and supplies, just for five minutes of explosions. The grinding necessary to bankroll the losses, the parts, the skillbooks quickly got unmanageable and I'm not sufficiently loaded in real life to just PLEX my way through all that stuff. Though I am half tempted to take advantage of the new alpha clone thing to get back in just so I can bomb around hisec in a shuttle as a space tourist. The sights are astonishingly beautiful, they automatically put me on alpha clone status to try to get me back in, and it's free. I'm also half curious if I can even fly my old ships, given that they are higher tech than the limits of the alpha clone itself.
Its insane how expensive this shit is, According to another PCGamer article, the blueprint for this citadel costs 700,000,000,000 ISK, which, at a exchange of $1 USD to 45,000,000 ISK (given from the fact that a month subscription for EVE can be bought for 900,000,000 ISK, and is worth $20 in the real world), translates to nearly $15,000 USD for the Citadel.

That's still potentially 7 to 35 months of work, but EVE is just that kind of game. You're in it for the long con and that's what's so cool about it.
i'm a real-time type of player, not the setting my shit up for ten minutes into the future type.
There are limited aspects like maneuvering your ship(???) to get the most damage out of your weapons-system... But yes, it feels meaningless when this game has been around for this long. It is MUCH more entertaining (for me) to read these headlines and watch the big battle VODs/streams, etc. without ever having to metaphorically slave for the right to appear as a hundred-dozen pixels in a space-arena.
i would play eve if it wasn't spreadsheet simulator.
I tried playing long time ago, it just didn't agree with me. My ideal game would be a game that allows me to design my ship from the ground up like space engineers but with better physics and optimization then just massively online.
I'd only play Eve if the concept of time didn't exist.
star citizen is my kind of game, i'm also a realtime player I like using my mouse to shoot with my ship, i like being involved in what i do. But this game is really impressive. I hope star citizen will get a similar experience!

I remember them only being worth half that in JITA.
EVE's inflation has gotten a bit excessive IMO, makes it less and less fun for casual players
EVE's inflation has gotten a bit excessive IMO, makes it less and less fun for casual players
That's my biggest complaint. I'm usually good because I just hop on from time to time to fuck around in nullsec with randoms in cruisers or smaller but even then it's getting more difficult.
