For Christmas 2011 I received a pair of Turtle Beech X11's. They have been perfect for the last year but over the past few days they have been acting up... There is no problem with the USB or audio/mic inputs but the wire leading into the white 'box' that you can adjust volume with is faulty. I have been looking around for a permanent solution but I have not found one yet and it is getting worse. Any help would be appreciated !
Only way to permanently fix it, is to open it up and solder it back together. Im pretty sure turtle beach uses very shitty wiring though, so it wont be easy to solder them.
I'll give that a go, never tried but if it breaks then i'll just buy another headset.

Toss that junk and buy some headphones and a clip on mic or modmic. I would recommend these.
