Just wait for ignorant people to protest and whine simply because it has word "nuclear" on it.
Why don't they help fund the european fusion project instead I don't understand.
This is one of the coolest projects, if I'm remembering this right.
Was this the one with focusing a bunch of lasers at incredile power into one spot to create nuclear fusion on the level of the sun and create a minature star for a split second?

Now that I read it, yes it is!
Yay, I always loved this project.
What's that even got to do with anything?
At all.
Besides, this generates way more power and is way more efficient and safer.
I remember being confused at how both fission and fusion of atoms produced energy (because they're opposite acts, you'd suspect one releases, and the other only requires energy).
Until my physics class explained binding energy:

It's almost incomprehensible, how much we owe to research and science. It seems like the world is doomed, but if we give ourselves 20 more years, just watch how this research unfolds.

If only everyone supported science like they should.
