What is it? So the past couple of months I’ve been developing an application called GexVN, it’s a front end checkout client for subversion control (SVN). I made it so you don’t have to install full-blown subversion software which are big in file size and heavily bloated, thus GexVN was born. A simple but effective SVN front end checkout client. Main Features * Simple Checkout * Authentication Support * Automatic Update Checking & Downloading * File Saving & Loading * Sharable *.GexVN files with other GexVN users * Displays time taken for a checkout to finish * Ability to read change log via own tab * Portable meaning it's able to be used on a USB drive Latest Version 0.14 Thanks Special thanks to 'ShitakiMushrooms' for doing lots of testing. Thanks to 'FamFamFam' for his Silk icon pack. Troubleshooting When I launch GexVN.exe I get a 'The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application.' error; Requirements GexVN requires .NET Framework to operate, you can download it from below: Download .NET Framework Share your Garry's Mod *.GexVN Files If you use this for Garry's Mod svn repositories please save your *.GexVN files, upload them to the web and post them here so other GexVN users can download them with ease. Download Download - RAR - 3.1 MB
Awesome! Thanks :buddy:
Nice!
What's wrong with tSVN?
What's wrong with tSVN?
If you're talking about TortoiseSVN I didn't need a full featured SVN frontend for just checking out.
*.GexVN files are not encrypted, passwords will be shared.
:( Why not? Pretty neat stuff.
:( Why not? Pretty neat stuff.
They will be at some point, thank you. :)
D'you also support exporting folders? As in, creating a copy sans SVN files?
D'you also support exporting folders? As in, creating a copy sans SVN files?
Not currently, pretty sure I can add it though.
Very cool, nice work!
Whats so hard about encrypting the passwords? ( or I'm guessing you mean hashing )
Whats so hard about encrypting the passwords? ( or I'm guessing you mean hashing )
I've never used any sort of encryption before, I wasn't planning on adding saving/loading features at the time of making it. :)

Nice program by the way :D

So does SVN have some API that you can hook into, or does this basically run shell commands for you or what? Also, you should do a git frontend. :v:

Update released, please File > Update or CTRL+U.
Great job GeXeH! Looks a lot simpler than Tortoise and I've seen it improve a LOT from its' start. Keep it up!
Thumbs up BIG time!
What are you gonna do when the repository is updated. Oh shit yea, tSVN isn't just a downloader, what now.
What are you gonna do when the repository is updated. I'm guessing it already does this, as he stated above, he can push out updates through the program, I'm guessing it's pulling the updated program off of an SVN repo.

What about updating what you've checked out, how does that work
What about updating what you've checked out, how does that work
Do you mean the ability to commit? If you mean update an existing svn repository, it already has that feature.
This looks really awesome. Not a big fan of the name or icon though. I will be using this nonetheless.
This looks really awesome. Not a big fan of the name or icon though. The icon is the official SVN icon. :) Thanks for using.
Nice [editline]12:51AM[/editline] Not working for me. When I checkout it just says done in 0 sec and there are no files.
