Bioshock Infinite : Booker DeWitt should have tear powers?

It just occurred to me: if Elizabeth gained her powers by having losing her pinky to another dimension, shouldn't Booker have similar powers as well?
Between haircuts, losing skin cells, teeth from childhood, etc. DeWitt should have left a considerable amount of himself in his home universe before the events of BSI.
What do you think? :P
By that logic all interdimensional travellers would have Tear powers.
My theory about why that doesn't work goes as such; the criteria for "things left behind = interdimensional powers" is probably pertaining to living parts being separated, rather than leaving behind dead detritus like hair, teeth and skin. Plus there could be the whole thing about being exposed to the energy between the worlds at such a young age, so that as she grew up her "elemental" attunement and subconscious understanding of the universe grew as her body did.
no spoiler warning no nothing nah mkay
Wouldn't make it any more enjoyable of a game...
[sp]I'm sorry, I just really didn't enjoy it, don't hate me pls[/sp]

Its ok to not like Infinite its mechanics were average and kinda clunky with a story that relied on being convoluted to hide the fact that it doesn't actually make sense (it works by making you think the game is just really smart and you're not meant to really get it cos TIME TRAVEL but really it literally does not make sense)

It's not about what was left behind, it's about the connection.
[sp]Elizabeth is the only one that physically experienced the closing of a tear. Her pinky severing by the tear caused a link.[/sp]

So someone could acquire ultimate power without having to lose an extremity. Like sticking hair/fingernails through a portal while closing it. It would be a haircut or maniqure that's both stylish and superpower endowing! :D
