• Possible to backpack a country in Europe, for under 1000 USD?

Been going through alot of bullshit recently, but one thing I fuck with immensely is being by myself, and being out in nature, I solo camp frequently, so I'm no stranger to being alone. I'm trying to plan a 2 - 3, possibly 4 week backpacking trip to any country in Europe, the most beautiful, for the cheapest price available. I'll live off of bread and water and multivitamins to cut costs. I've already got my checklist and such sorted out, I just need an itinerary that is affordable. Give me some criticisms and suggestions please :)
sounds like a lot of walking
um albania?

The Netherlands or Belgium are pretty small to walk through and almost everyone under 50 speaks English to some degree.

Try somewhere like Spain/France/Italy since they have relative good prices and are nice enviroments.

Camping is really cheap in Europe, even on proper camp sites. Travel isn't though.
eastern Europe is definetly the cheapest
Sweden. You can go whereever you want without having to worry about that someone owns the land/place. Sweden is the only country who has it like this.
eastern Europe is definetly the cheapest
Even Britain has campsites at £5 a night
Even Britain has campsites at £5 a night
yeah but generally, eastern european countries are the cheapest to live in an to go on vacation. Britain is really expensive in comparison. and less than 1000 dollars is quite a small budget for 3-4 weeks.

Go to Kosovo, you will return with a lot of experience[sp]and with several organs missing.[/sp] Anyway, try aiming for eastern Europe if you go cheap. You can try Serbia (Belgrade, Novi Sad if you aim for northern part, Serbia's got some really pretty nature sights), Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo, Banja Luka), You can go from Bosnia to Serbia and from Serbia to Hungary via train (ticket is like 20 euros) to Budapest and from there you can chose a lot of places. If that doesn't suit you (Central Europe), you could even try going south via Macedonia to northern Greece (like Thessaloniki for example) or Turkey (Istanbul, but not really sure about that because of all events happening atm). Do note that it's tourist season so some coastal countries (Croatia, Slovenia) may be more expensive to stay than others. Anyway, Wikitravel has plenty of information that you're looking for. Romania is worth mentioning... Nature, mountains, fresh air, nice people, cheap enough.

Not really possible unless you want to hobo your way through or go to some place with lower grades.
hitch hiiiiiike my sister got from Sheffield to Tallinn, Estonia by hitch-hiking.
hitch hiiiiiike my sister got from Sheffield to Tallinn, Estonia by hitch-hiking.
Probably because every guy who gave her a lift thought she might sleep with them, good luck doing that as a bloke Eastern Europe looks really picturesque, I'd head there if I were you
Visit Greece. Everybodies poor so things should be cheap and anarchy is pretty fun to watch.
Probably because every guy who gave her a lift thought she might sleep with them, good luck doing that as a bloke Eastern Europe looks really picturesque, I'd head there if I were you
she was with two other guys and another girl... hitch-hiking isn't a big deal in eastern europe anyways.
I don't suggest going to the Netherlands, we don't really have anything beautiful to see except for hookers.
Look into Busabout.com or something similar for travel. Highly recommend anywhere in Eastern Europe, my favourites were Berlin, Munich and all of Italy.
