• "Reflection" Photograph C&C needed

Well, it's a photo of some friends stood above a puddle and I flipped it upside down to look like the real people are the reflection. I also did some post processing in photoshop. Be brutally honesty with C&C, I want your real opinion.
would look better if the sky wasn't so overexposed, it feels like there's something missing at the bottom with the way it is
hmm I agree now you mention it. Would it look better if I cropped it just after where the heads ends?
not really, the empty, white space would still be there
what else can I do to fix the problem? (bigger image now in OP)
Overexposed sky, and I think it would be cool looking if you cropped it so only the reflections showed.
Thanks i'll give it a try EDIT: Thanks but it doesn't
What I'd do about the sky: 1. Go out and take a shot of an non-overexposed sky. 2. drag that image into this one 3. seeing as its mostly white, use the magic wand tool and select the white sky. 4. Switch to the sky, invert selection and delete the excess sky. 5. Blend a little more with the original.

how do I "blend" the layers? nevermind
In your "layers" panel click the layer you want to blend and you will see a drop down menu that is on "Normal" you can use those to change the blend mode. Also if you double click a layer in the layer panel you have more options. Lastly you can use the eraser tool at a flow and opacity of about 20% each (maybe less)
i really like it, its a cool shot, maybe next time if u look into like an hdr shot or something and u can get the detail in the sky and everything? just an idea
OK I did what you said david just uploading now... TA DA Finished version! Thanks to david and everyone else for helping me
There is a cloud reflected that is nonexistent in the sky. [editline]06:38PM[/editline] And adjust the white balance it's really blue.

Looks good, but are the clouds upside down? Nice job blending it by the way. edited: Or rather, they're right side up when they should be upside down.
Hmm I guess you are right. I would change it but I don't have photoshop on this computer. I'll do it later. There's also a bit of "noise" in the sky I'll have to work on.
you could blur the background a little, get a little depth of field going and fix the noise problem at the same time.
Good idea, I'll see how it looks later. BTW which kind of blur is used to give depth of field?
I usually use a slight Gaussian blur. Works pretty well when you select certain areas of an image.
Thanks :) This is turning out well. I might put it in my art project somewhere.
The cloud could be higher up! Also I think the blue makes it look more "psychedelic" it looks better that way IMO.
The cloud would be in the image on the nonreflected side. Most people new to photoshop and even advanced users forget very important but small details that can easily break an image and prove that it was post processed. Post processing is an art. If the cloud is in the reflection but not in the sky, either add it to the sky or remove it from the reflection in a realistic way. And the blue doesn't look very good. [editline]04:53PM[/editline] Oh and fix the upside down clouds and make sure they fade from brighter to darker like they and the sky do in the reflection.
crop inbetween their feet and keep the puddle side.
i'd say that would make the picture to boring if it was just the reflection. If anything Id say just flip the whole thing over so the real people are on top.
I'd crop it so you can just see the puddle.
Another way to crop would be to cut off just above the ankles of the 'real' people Might add an ambiguous quality Clever idea, mind, I love this sort of trickery
I don't know if it's been said earlier but the clouds in the reflection do not match the one in the sky [due to you adding your own sky].
