Quick question: Do you have to reinstall Windows after replacing a motherboard?

Read the title. I'm thinking about getting my motherboard replaced. But I wanna know if I need to reinstall Windows.
I've been told that I have to by the guy at the shop, that Windows doesn't like big changes in hardware. They even told me this a long time ago when I got more memory.
So is it a good idea to reinstall Windows, or can I just use Windows normally after getting it replaced? I have Windows XP SP3.
If you're lucky, you can get away with removing old drivers, and installing the new one's
but 3/4 the windows wont start with a new board.....So yea you might need new install.
When I replaced my mobo I didn't bother reinstalling Windows. I had some driver related errors, but uninstalling all of the old drivers and cleaning the registry fixed them.
Yeah, just do a driver clean up of sorts.
After I replaced my mobo I had to reformat, If windows boots delete old drivers and install the new ones. If it doesn't re-install windows.
Get over it and reinstall, it's not that bad to format and reinstall everything. It's even easier if you have an external hard drive, dvd burner, flash drive.
Shadaez, it's not that it's not hard to do. Infact I've done it twice. I just wanted to tell my friend who was telling me I didn't have to reinstall.
I got a new motherboard from the guy at the shop. Didn't need to reinstall.
