He told BBC News Western countries should agree to take an allocation, but he did not specify numbers. Mr Farage, who has led opposition to allowing open immigration from Romania and Bulgaria in the new year, said refugees were "a very different thing". The UK government has no plans to accept Syrian refugees, saying it is better to offer financial help.
What a total fuck up come on farage being consistently racist isn't hard you don't need to be sending out mixed messages
Whilst I do feel like he's doing this to sort of back-hand Cameron, it does seem like a nice idea.
What a total fuck up come on farage being consistently racist isn't hard you don't need to be sending out mixed messages
"Fellow Tory MP Andrew Brigden told the same programme he believed Mr Farage's comments were "political tokenism". "You're talking about a few hundred [people] out of a few million," he said. "What criteria would we use to say who can come and who can't?" But yeah Farage is essentially right on this one.
There are too many people in this country anyway so I say no. Aint mongolia got loads of space
There are too many people in this country anyway so I say no. Aint mongolia got loads of space
is this satire
Reminds me of http://www.theonion.com/video/new-live-poll-allows-pundits-to-pander-to-viewers,14350/
Accepting to protect people whose reason to move in is because their life is in danger, is not the same thing as accepting to take care of people whose reason to move in is to seek greener pastures.
This guy has a very punchable face
A system might work if more than one country let refugees in or maybe if a country doesn't want to let in the refugees they could perhaps make it up in humanitarian aid.
A system might work if more than one country let refugees in
You do realise that every country that signed up to the 1951 declaration is bound to take on some people? And that 10 of the EU countries have already agreed to take on up to 10,000? [editline]29th December 2013[/editline] Why do people have this strange idea that Britain is the only country that takes in immigrants.

Send them to the moon.
Not a Brit, but I'm sort of scratching my head at how the population of London is 40 percent first generation immigrants.
Not a Brit, but I'm sort of scratching my head at how the population of London is 40 percent first generation immigrants.
Because immigrants come here to work and a majority of the work is in the Capital.
This guy has a very punchable face
all our politicians are like that
Not a Brit, but I'm sort of scratching my head at how the population of London is 40 percent first generation immigrants.
I'm not in the least bit surprised having lived there, immigrants are used for cheap labour while a good deal of long term residents have moved out.
all our politicians are like that
Britain has found its talent. Punchability in the political populace.
Britain has found its talent. Punchability in the political populace.
Put them in a Thunderdome. Nothing of value is lost, and the UK gets a worldwide hit TV show.
What a total fuck up come on farage being consistently racist isn't hard you don't need to be sending out mixed messages
Branding everything racist that has discrimination against immigrants is what the un-educated fed media junkies thrive on. Farage makes logical choices when it comes to economic discrimination against immigrants.
PR stunt. Just that.
He has now backtracked after a horde of Islamophobes attacked him on social media and the dinosaurs in the party had a whinge, now says he only wants Christians here. I already failed to renew my UKIP membership and requested they take me off their register earlier this year. This morning I filled in and posted off my Liberal Democrat membership form. Their view on the EU is the complete opposite to mine, but you can't have everything your way and I've finally had enough with UKIP and their complete incompetence. The amount of time and effort I've put into doing something with that stupid fucking party is too much, but then it's not really a party it's just Farage making it up as he goes along.
