My PC keeps turning off randomly.
I have a Corsair CX750 and it use to coil whine, but that stopped. Now, it randomly loses power, but the case fans stay on.
What could it be?
A relay on the motherboard controls whether the power supply is on or off. If the fans on the case are still running after what you perceive as "power loss" then the machine is still running and hasn't turned off.
The cause could be from an overheating CPU/GPU, faulty memory or the PSU could just be bad. I would check for overheating first.
Okay, it has to be my processor then. That has been idling at 35c instead of 20 lately.
35C is not overheating. Most CPUs can work safely up to 60-65C and many modern GPUs are rated up to 80-90C
My CPU heatsink has been sitting badly lately. I considered a whole new heatsink because this one is shitty.
