Okay, I decided to make a new thread because I've remade a lot of my build. BUDGET: $1100 MOBO: ??? CPU: Intel Core i7 2600K (Already bought) GPU: EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 570 (Already bought) RAM: (Choosing later, probably going with Cosair or G-Skill) PSU: ??? HDD: SAMSUNG F3 Spinpoint 1TB 7200RPM CASE: CoolerMaster HAF-X (Already bought) DVD: Sony Optiarc Black I've selected the Case and HDD because I can get a lot of savings on them; I do really like the HAF 922 and Seagate do make nice Hard Drives. Savings:
HDD: -$5 Instant ---: -$10 from Promo Code ---: Total: $15 Case: -$20 Instant ----: Total: $20
So now I need help choosing the PSU and Motherboard. I've looked at the CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W and the CORSAIR Professional Series AX750 750W; I like the modular design of the AX750, but it is a lot more expensive. I can save $30 on the 750TX, $10 on the AX750 and get $10 Rebate on them both. Now for my motherboard. I want to get the ASUS P8P67 PRO. It looks great, but I think I recall hearing some bad things about it. What are your guys' opinions?
Personally i'd go with the AX750, it is more efficient than the 750TX and 100% modularity is a godsend, also go for the P8P67 Pro, the problems it is having are easily fixable according to most people.
-1TB spinpoint is $55 on newegg -also this combo is pretty nice http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.584777 -As for the motherboard, the GD55 is my personal favorite, but that's just my opinion -And for RAM this is probably best value http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820144461&cm_re=geil_4gb_1600_ddr3-_-20-144-461-_-Product

I might be buying the Case and AX750 tonight! I'm taking a bit more time to look at other cases though. The HAF-X is very appealing, yet expensive. Newegg do have $20 off on it until the 19th.
Got the HAF-X!
Samsung F3 Spinpoint 1TB, not Seagate Barracuda. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] Also, for PSU, 750TX is fine if you don't want to decimate your budget.
I was wondering what problems people are experiencing with the P8P67 Pro. I really like the motherboard, but I don't know what I would do if something didn't work properly with it. Simple BIOS changes and wiring issues are easy fixes, but I wouldn't know how to tackle harder problems.
Anyone? I'm really interested about whats going on with the P8P67 series. The boards look great, but I don't want any problems.

Just go for it, imo. Just read this thread http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1048453-P8P67-Series-motherboard-widespread-booting-issues-research-before-buying! [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] I think posters think that it's a problem with RAM higher than 1333 mhz.
I think I am going to run the risk and buy the P8P67. If it doesn't work, I guess I can try updating the BIOS. If it just fails, I can return it. [editline]17th January 2011[/editline] Now to go look for some RAM. I think I am going to go with G-SKILL. Maybe Cosair. I'm also going to look at some MSI motherboards. I might find something equivalent/better.
-whoops wrong thread-
My HAF-X came today!! I love it. I'm thinking about getting this RAM. Good choice? I've had great experience with Corsair RAM previously. Yes, I need 8GB. I'm still wondering about the problems with the P8P67. I might just go ahead and make a thread here (or in HW&SW).
