The Afghan soldier who killed four French soldiers and wounded fifteen justified his act by watching the video taken by U.S. soldiers showed that in the process of urinating on the bodies of Afghans , said on Sunday 22 January to several security sources.
"It was a real soldier, saved. During his first interrogation by French soldiers, he told them he had done this (shoot their compatriots, Ed) because of the video that U.S. soldiers urinated on corpses , "said one of these sources.
"In these first confessions, he said he was highly motivated to kill the soldiers when he saw the video" in question, another source said, adding that, according to him, the killer "had no direct contact with the Taliban but did not hate them either. "
"Taliban infiltrated"
Friday, an Afghan soldier opened fire on a group of French soldiers providing training to Afghan troops Gwan. The man took advantage of a time when the instructor did a run in a base, unarmed and unprotected, to shoot them. Four men died and fifteen were injured, eight seriously.
Saturday, Gerard Longuet said the killer was "clearly a Taliban infiltrated for a long time, "which would have provided General Nazar, the commander of the 3rd Brigade of the Afghan National Army (ANA), to which the killer.
21 years old, man, identified as Abdul Mansour, was arrested after the incident. According to Gerard Longuet, he is a former Afghan army soldier who deserted, probably happened next in Pakistan before moving back into the ranks of the ANA. It was for about two months in the unit of Gwan.
Interviewed several times Saturday, insurgents, usually quick to recognize the losses inflicted on foreign troops, however, have denied being behind the attack. Writing one of their spokesmen, Zabiullah Mujahid, has acknowledged that at best the insurgents "investigation" on the subject.
Indignation
Afghan President Hamid Karzai has also called Sunday's murder of four French soldiers as "an individual and isolated," and never use the word "Taliban".
An amateur video filmed in Afghanistan, showing four young Marines uniformed American, hilarious, relieve themselves in three bloody bodies, knowing that another person is trying to film them, caused the Indig community International mid-January.
No violent reaction had previously been held in Afghanistan after the media coverage of this video.[/release]

Look at what those dumb fuck marines had caused.
Sucks that they died. But you need to expect such things in an insurgency.

If anything this is a good example of how the coalition gains new enemies. It's also why Russia got kicked out of Afghanistan so quickly - They were even bigger assholes.
The boy is young and doesn't know the difference between American and French soldiers, and thus sees them all as a faceless mass who all think the same and act the same.
Maybe we should put ourselves into the boots of the people for a bit before we keep invading them.
How does a random guy in Afghanistan have internet access? They live in the 13th century...

Why is he called a boy? 21 is far from a boy. Hell he's hardly a teen anymore.

Far from random if you read the article.
A video of some soldiers pissing on a corpse does not drive you to commit blind murder. He obviously had been contemplating this for some time.

it wasn't a 'random kid' it was a 21 year old afghan soldier, and im pretty sure most countries in the world have access to the internet. however, im sure this is as strong a protest as any to take troops out of afghanistan
That's like shooting a bunch of Japanese soldiers because Hitler started the holocaust.
That's like shooting a bunch of Japanese soldiers because Hitler started the holocaust.
It's nothing like that at all lol.
That's like shooting a bunch of Japanese soldiers because Hitler started the holocaust.
Nope. It's shooting coalition soldiers you view as invaders, plain and simple. Let's say your country got invaded, and you saw a video of foreign soldiers desecrating the bodies of people you saw as freedom fighters. I don't know about you, but I'd get angry, and I'd go for a bodycount.

Its the same for both sides. If any of you have ever seen those beheading videos you would probably ask for the same thing too.

Sure. But for them, that's their homeland we're bombing.

I'll give you that, but what people here in america don't understand is that these are the realities of war.
I'll give you that, but what people here in america don't understand is that these are the realities of war.
So pissing on dead people is acceptable.
Fuck you, US Army.
So pissing on dead people is acceptable.
spreading democracy in the form of piss is totally acceptable
This is pretty fucked.
Death in war is always a reality and desecrating corpses is removing the last bit of dignity that anybody has in death, if a soldier needs to desecrate corpses in order to cope with his reality, he should not be a soldier.
Certainly not excusing this tragedy, but if a nation (or conglomerate of nations) waltzes into a foreign country on grounds of instilling democracy, they cant have any tolerance for people pissing on the dead, or any other infraction such as demeaning civilians or purposely damaging livelihoods. All it does is validate the fact that NATO has no right to be in Afghanistan and at that point it becomes hard to avoid situations like this.
spreading democracy in the form of piss is totally acceptable
Spreading democracy by annihilating a country and doing jackshit to prevent the new government from falling into another totalitarian, even worse regime than before.
Sure.
I'll give you that, but what people here in america don't understand is that these are the realities of war.
Don't become a soldier if you can't handle the horrific reality of it.
Don't become a soldier if you can't handle the horrific reality of it.
I dont really see any reason why pissing on dead people needs to be a reality
I love watching people flip over the modern war.
Remember what we used to do?
Carpet bomb the shit out of the place until we saw fit to send in soldiers.

yeah because that was popular
Fuck you, US Army.
Yes, because the entire us army is to blame.
They held a vote, "should we piss on these dead guys?" And every single person in the army voted yes.
The president even gave the order!
So yeah entire US army is to blame in this and not the 3 guys that did it, no way.
