I was away for comp for a while and when i came back i saw a boot disk error. i knew the right thing is to restart so I did. When it looked completely booted i started firefox and left the room. 15 minutes later the theme had gone to classic(vista user) desktop background was black and red warning window that firefox.exe could not be started. that same window also showed up behind the FF one saying sidebar.exe
Is my Hard drive toast?
Run chkdsk.
could my HDD be failing however? cuz if it is I'd rather not boot it up and have my HDD conk out on me.
Also do you know where firefox 3.5 stores its addons?

You need to run the chkdsk tool from the command prompt. Google for it.
