really wanted to create a short loosely inspired by hotline miami, over a track i love from the PayDay 2 soundtrack.
ended up being more of a color/lighting study instead of something more action oriented after realizing how much i hate animating fights. the cqc takedown took hours to get right without clipping, and it was a one second animation before the slow time effect :v:. there was also supposed to be more gunplay, but i was already into the third week of animating and each scene was getting bloated on RAM usage, so i'm leaving this as an "episode 1" of a future series for now.
enjoy!
Holy crap. Is the next episode going to follow the tales of that BLU Spy, or will it be a different character next time?
I always wanted to see some sort of animated short using the PD2 OST, great work!

The Standoff part of this really tied in well with the Assault wave buildup.
It's creative stuff like this is what drives me to do SFM videos. Thanks to the Kinect that just came to my doorstep yesterday, I can finally make that happen.
That's damn cool, what song will you do next?

the other characters, for sure.
as for other music, I'm currently super into the hotline Miami 2 soundtrack, and any song related (carpenter brut etc) so something close to that.
I really liked it. Usually I have a hard time appreciating these since for me it seems too much "my original character" (when it's the action shorts, or so) thing going on. But as said I enjoyed this one, and the promise of different characters sounds awesome. Bring in some sniper, engineer or medic as examples on classes that seems to get low attention in SFMs, except perhaps comedy ones. Hope you learned something from the lightning, because it looked gorgeous and cool to me.
And yeah it would've benefited of a bit more action, you were/are aware of it.
Just wanted to give my opinion and some CC.
