Oh shit, it begins.
Now we just need to wait and see if the Labour party can hold onto this position or if they tear themselves apart again over the next few days.

Well Labour is to remain in EU though, they had to royally fuck up to tear itself apart with this as an issue.

They seem united on Europe, maybe this is how they come back together
Now there is a party to blame if post-brexit is bad due to it being soft instead of hard.

Yes, UKIP

Brexit is going to be terrible regardless.
Hard Brexit would be worse than soft.

Currently its split on what would be worse, we've got people saying soft would be worse, or hard would be worse etc.
I wonder what the Murdoch shitrags will have to say about this.
Hopefully they'll be angry enough to spontaneously combust and burn to the ground, thereby making everyone's lives just a little bit warmer.
pretty big deal and the best move to make on labours side, will make May have to put forward her vision for brexit since she's been avoiding it for months now + force an early general election which is a worry but still. this gets anyone on side regardless of party if they want to represent parli scrutiny + single market access.
Basically, in the EU without being able to do anything about it's policies.

yep, which is why it is pointless to leave in the first place. we get no benefits from leaving at all
But it doesn't matter because people are saying we'll get all the benefits of the single market without following any EU laws, which the EU have said won't be the case. The people in charge of this shitshow are talking out their arses.

Our choices are everything as before but a bit more shit, or no immigrants but the pound is worth less than an IOU on the back of a weather spoons napkin signed by Donald Trump.

It's not just Labour that will vote against it, May still has to convince most of her party to toe the line and it already failed when they started resigning
Hasn't TM the PM already effectively said that we're only going to brexit hard? Immigration seems to be the top issue which means no single market.
Frankly if you're in favour of soft brexit you're in favour of staying in the EU, so why would you clip your wings and give yourself an objectively worse deal than what we've already got?

Probably because those who are hellbent on leaving the EU wouldn't have it any other way so they have to make compromises.
