Dang, Quiltbag I was going to say that. But seriously, what I want from RDR2 would be maybe free roam with the card playing/gambling instead of having to join a room to play because no one was playing those. Another thing I would want would be hunting in the online mode. There's a good portion of animals that were in RDR that I'd love to see in multiplayer.
I can kind of agree with the hideout thing, except I really do not want it to be like GTAVs houses, at least not in terms of how you acquire them. I remember any time I got online with friends in Redemption, one of the first things we did was form a posse and ride down to that one ruin on the cliff way down in the corner of Mexico to make it our base. If they do make "hideouts" I'd like it to be more like that, finding a building or area on the map and just claiming it for your posse for the session turning it into a spawn point and place to restock ammo and such.

I personally hope for a dedicated first person view. I know some people might be against that in a traditionally third person game, but I feel it worked really well for GTAV and personally made the world feel much more immersive.

I hope they set it at the height of the Wild West period.
I think it's probably going to be in the 1910s or something
People are quick to assume it's a prequel due to the timeframe of Redemption, but I think a lot of people would be surprised how far into the 20s the "wild west" dichotomy lasted, especially in places like mexico and south america.
I hope they keep the crazy euphoria physics that the first game had, that made the whole game for me.

RDR Gwent

Being set in the old west isn't what makes a western necessarily so they might do something interesting with a 20s timeframe but I'll be surprised if they do
Yeah, I still think a prequel or side story is the most likely as well, just pointing out that good old cowboy types with revolvers and horses and all that good stuff were for sure still a thing for a while after the end of the old west.
