the core 25 characters will be unlocked for all players after completing the Prologue.
Finally they realized 47500 credits for post-release characters is just dumb mmo-tier grind. But the selling point of this update should be fixing the horrid optimization on Jennerith maps (gothic red ones).
Just let it die. :stop:
"Returning players" Oh wow, all 3,5 of them would be happy.

I might honestly try this game if they keep doing good updates to it. At the moment 50€ is way too much though.
I had recently got it from a friend for free and pvp is like a 15+ minute wait then when you finally find people, you just get stomped because they all have been playing for like 500+ hours. It's really unfortunate if you are a new player.
I had recently got it from a friend for free
Wow that's pretty fucked up, is Battleborn the new Bad Rats?
Just make it F2P already
Just make it F2P already
Going F2P while the game is still new'ish would essentially be admitting the game was garbage/not worth paying for. You could say that their recent attempts to convince people that its worth $50 is a combination of "pride" and delusion.
You know, I don't even feel bad for gearbox for this failure of a game. well, I feel bad for the devs at gearbox, but not the leadership and company behind it. Same goes for Ubisoft. It's an amazing studio with fucking horrible leadership that ruins everything. Same goes for DICE and many other studios. It is fucking painful to see but fuck them. Hopefully the team actually doing real work and making the games find a better place.

As one of the two people on Facepunch who has more than 100 hours in the game I really hope they can pull this off and bring some the playerbase back. Battleborn has the potential to be a really great game, it reminds me a lot of Super Monday Night Combat, another game with tons of potential floundered by a horrible launch. The lead developer on the game is a cool dude named Randy Varnell. He has a lot of passion for the game. I actually have him as a friend on Steam.
Yeah, this game is far from being bad. It just gets all the hatred for being a Gearbox product and that dumb asshole who made a "Come at me, bro!" tweet to Overwatch.
I spent around 174 hours playing this, if you count the beta, and gotta say this is one of Gearbox's better games. If ever Battleborn goes on a good sale, or f2p for a weekend I'd recommend giving it a try.
Doesn't seem like they have much choice
They can fix all the problems with the game and give people what they want from it. Other companies have managed to turn around a previously bad game before, I'm sure that it's possible to do the same with Battleborn as long as they don't give up.
