Andre Grandin interrupted the bus journey between Vara and Lidkoping in southern Sweden when he saw 10-year-old Emilia Behrendtz crying at the side of the road, the Expressen newspaper reports. After comforting the girl, witnesses say he climbed back on to the bus "without a word" and drove on. It later transpired that the girl had been upset by some other children.
Daaawwww that bus driver is nice
Better this then stopping for something else. Before I got my license, I had to ride the bus from school (regional buses not school buses) and one day our driver (a really fat dude) pulled into the restaurant of a Mexican restaurant and went inside and bought a soda and some food. We were sitting there for half an hour
It's always good to have nice little stories like this among some of the more depressing headlines we see.
This would probably piss most people off, stopping a bus full of people to comfort a girl. And honestly I can see that.

If I had some kind of obligation like work or school though, I'd probably be a little more irritated :v: but it's nice that this happened

I guess it probably was on an afternoon where people aren't in such a rush.
That was sweet of him
This would probably piss most people off, stopping a bus full of people to comfort a girl. And honestly I can see that.
even if he has a "responsibility for his job werghbergl", being a decent human being should be forgivable, right? right?
That was sweet of him even if he has a "responsibility for his job werghbergl", being a decent human being should be forgivable, right? right?
Yes, but to put it hyperbole, what if there's 50 people in a hurry on the bus? Maybe a mom getting home to a sick kid after a day of work? A lot of people rely on public transport. I am not saying this is despicable and shouldn't have happened, hell, they took photos and published it, they probably didn't scream for his head then. I'm just saying that this could be quite the opposite of being decent.
+ compassionate - unprofessional
tbh if there's a young girl on her knees crying all by herself, it'd be really shitty of anyone not to help out

It's like a few minutes out of a 30 min ride, he could probably make it up, or some people had seriously tight schedules. Also conflict avoidance seems hardwired into us, so at the most someone probably swore a bit at him once away from earshot
even if he has a "responsibility for his job werghbergl", being a decent human being should be forgivable, right? right?
I know a guy who spent a night in a police station lockup and very nearly had serious charges put on him because he wrestled a gun away from some fucking crazy who was threatening to kill everyone inside a store. The police even warned him if he did it again they would jail his ass for good. Punishing people for protecting others and doing good deeds happens all the time and it's retarded.

[QUOTE=Gen. This kid was the worst behaved kid in the world, and my driver would often pull over on the side of the road to beat him.
Good thing he didn't pull over for this crying girl.

Yeah, what they don't say is that one of the passengers missed his wife's last moments because of this. She had cancer. Fuck this guy and his compassion, did he even fucking know this little girl or is he A CREEPY PED?
I might've been a bit annoyed if this happened, but I wouldn't be able to stay angry after finding out the reason. Good thing he stopped to be honest. It could've been something worse that had happened to the girl.
hide your keyboard forever
Lighten up and take a joke, jeez. Also, I love how "Nice guy" constitutes as "Hero" in Sweden. Is sweden that much of a shithole that some guy doing something nice makes him a hero? Cause I thought Sweden was a utopia (User was banned for this post ("Trolling" - Swebonny))
You know, fuck all of my adult day to day obligations. Who gives a shit if I'm 5 minutes late for work today, It doesn't matter to me. When it comes to those things, each day blends into the next, but for that young girl, this experience will play a crucial role in her life. My childhood has been thoroughly fucked up by other kids and teens using me as a literal punching bag. It's never just child's play, these experiences shape the person you will become later in life. If I'm on time or late for work or visiting grandma or doing groceries will have no impact on my life as a whole and I'll ultimately forget about it in the next week. If anything, it's heartwarming moments like this that can still touch even adults and alter their view of the world.

This makes me the happy Dub.

Cause I thought Sweden was a utopia
She had gotten bullied, a lot of people who get bullied end up taken their own lives, so for all we know, this one random act of kindnessfroma complete stranger could have given her just that little bit of hope that means later down the line she might not to. Lost property called for you, they found your fedora, and Gillete left a message for you wanting to hire you because you're so edgy!

Bus driver will be driving a full bus, stop the bus and head into convenience store and buy chocolate milk and candy, or go to a fast food place and buy food. I wouldn't mind if they did it ON THEIR BREAK.
